Fantastic word game

The blockbuster of the year would hardly constitute the history between Miss Silkie and Sweetie Pie, although there has certainly not been another relationship quite like it except for the ugly stepsister types whose feet are either too big or too little.

Too big or too little is not a problem when it comes to contributions to our scholarship fund because every dollar counts and remember, if you make a donation before Midnight ET tonight you can still declare it as a deduction on your 2011 income taxes.

Happy New Year!

Taxes come in all shapes and sizes, and some even have a different name, but it all goes into a great big pot.

A great big pot of confetti is waiting to be dumped at the stroke of midnight on anyone who wishes to celebrate the coming of the new year at band camp.

And cleanup will be tomorrow afternoon if anyone wants to come by to help. Happy New Year.

The coming of the new year at band camp is always a good time owing in no small part to the dedication and devotion of the camp administrators and it's participants!

Happy New Year folks!

The camp administrators and its participants know that "ITS" indicates ownership (the dog ate its bone) and "IT'S" is a contraction of "it is" (Joe showed me his car, and it's a cool ride), and since a large contingent of them are English majors they also know that these two words are never interchangeable.

[size=8pt]New Year's celebrations will be aired on KFWG-LD and all of its interconnected translators across the nation to-night, beginning at 0500 and ending at 1200, covering the Eastern through Hawaiian time zones respectively plus an hour of additional celebratory coverage afterward. All in colour and in stereo where available. It's starting in almost a half-hour from now, folks, so set your VCRs!

(Oh, and Guam's celebration already aired last night...)

These two words are never interchangeable and we thank Darth for the lesson because it's extremely important to know all that.

We haven't had a Linguistics Czar since raptus left us. We just might have to add those duties to Darth's roster. ;D

It's extremely important to know all that because proper English is sadly becoming a lost art amongst many of to-day's Internet users.

[size=8pt]Hey, yeah, I'd take the job. I did graduate an English major myself. Of course, that'd mean almost everybody would have to change their spelling habits in order to be in compliance (e.g. "'R' before 'E' and never a 'Z'", you know.) So if you need a new Linguistics Czar (царь?) I'd take it on, sure.

If you need a Grammar Nazi, I can do that, too!

A lost art amongst many of to-day's Internet users, and among others today, is the ability to converse amongst themselves in real-life social settings as a result of neuron rearrangement that has melted and morphed some brains into silicone phone apps, rendering them incapable of any form of academic or intellectual speech in general, or even reality for that matter.

For that matter to become so important in this day and age means when need to send our youth to the library more often so they can get an education in the lost are of interpersonal communication from Miss Silkie.

An education in the lost are of interpersonal communication from Miss Silkie does not include proofreading, since that does not happen in conversation; however, the band camp theatre of the arts has developed scenery for every conceivable social setting, so that our students can practice speaking with real, live people, just as we do in the foreign language lab.

The foreign language lab is a great place to hang out if you want to meet hot chicks from other countries.

Oops, my bad. "Are" should have been "art". Thanks for catching that one, Silkie. Happy New Year to you and SweetiePie.

Hot chicks from other countries often intern at the main band camp location and then bring their skills back to their respective home countries.

Darth, we'll take up that grammar/linguistics thing at the next executive board meeting in a couple of weeks. You'll have to be available by Skype or something unless you plan on being here in person.

Their respective home countries have rich histories, which they learn more accurately from us while they are here because of our rich heritage of free speech.

dmargalotti, it was really something just to write a sentence so long as I was in a parsing kind of mood all the way around. Aren't you glad the courts were closed, so that you didn't have to say among us, "So sue me", while speaking amongst our peers? Happy New Year to you and yours as well.

Our rich heritage of free speech has allowed us to contribute well beyond 2000 pages with zero interference from our superiors.

Zero interference from our superiors is a pretty good indication that we are doing our job effectively, unlike some of those other band camps that have to lock it down, rip the knobs off and supervise.

Lock it down, rip the knobs off and supervise so noboby changes that radio station.

Did anybody noticed that we were off the air earlier, all I got was the 50/60 TV test pattern, under maintenance.
Time for some more 80s, Def Leppard on now with "Foolin" with Whitesnake on next and a few more more before shut down, I do have today off.

The sales department is off today because nobody else is working except for people who produce radio shows so pull up a chair and listen to a dmargalotti-produced show, why don't you.

Great show this morning, sir, great show. ;D

Why don't you give Megan McCormick a call and tell her you think they only way we'll be able to get quad back in the game is if she promises to make occasional appearances here?
