Fantastic word game

Our band camp summer concert series will kick off, as always, with the toddler parade, marching and performing their famous hits with the paper towel roll doo ta doo trio, the wooden spoon and saucepan brigade, the kazoo orchestra, and new this year, bubbles from the collander in the tradition of Larry Welk, just like the Director of Fun learnt 'em.

The Director of Fun learnt 'em is an unpaid, volunteer position and while you won't get rich from this position we can promise you that the position comes with many other perks and rewards.

Perks and rewards like our famous fresh fruit smoothie, made with bananas, strawberries and orange juice, are rarely turned down on such a day as this.

This is the first day I've been back from our beach vacation, what with the slathering and all, and I found it was too hard the one time I tried to get WiFi to do it a second time, mostly because (no offense to anyone but props to the increased time spent with family) I enjoyed the disengagement.

So Silkie was right. I submitted my paperwork last weekend, right before I spent three days doing this week's work so I wouldn't be too far behind this coming week. As it is, I'm only two days behind, like usual. I think that's just some kind of obsessive-compulsive-defiant thing....

I enjoyed the disengagement too that one time years ago when I didn't bother checking in but then I became the Game Czar and quickly realized you are never really on vacation.

quad, nice to have you back. Apparently, your paperwork got lost in the shuffle and didn't make it to my desk until this morning. And you are only about a day behind because I managed to grab-and-do some of the TPS Reports that were stacked on your desk. You're welcome. Hope you and Mrs. quad and the quadettes enjoyed yourselves. ;)

Comforting to know the quadraphonics had a nice vacation at the beach but the next time one of you plan on going away for an extended period of time perhaps you can find a substitute poster to make some contributions in your absence so our productivity doesn't suffer.

In air conditioning you can feel the cold on you after you have taken your morning swimming laps.

Or have been dragged and thrown about by a few ocean waves.

Morning swimming laps would be great if I had a pool but I don't so I guess the only answer is to head south for a visit to the palatial quadraphonic estate.

The palatial quadraphonic estate might be an exaggeration, but I lit a fire Thursday night that seems to truly be an eternal flame, smoldering.

And I already doused it four times with a lot of hose water each time. Still, the smoke starts back up. This time at least it took 12 hours. Guess at least it's slowing down?

An eternal flame, smoldering for awhile following the end of each band camp session, is not truly eternal if it's put out but it does stay lit for the duration of each program.

Unless no one is gonna be around and then we put it out because we wouldn't want band camp to burn down. quad, you lit a flame why? Oughta be about 95 every day down there at this point.
