'Expensive' is usually used as a word to describe a specific monetary cost, and it is generally accepted that higher-cost items have a real-or perceived- higher value; however some things cannot be gaged in mere dollars and cents and these are the things that are often referred to as priceless.
Priceless is a word that has been hijacked by all those television commercials for Master Card.
Master Card (or MasterCard) used to be called Master Charge.
