Fantastic word game

Our security personnel asked me to temporarily help out at the gatehouse and I detained Mister WMC because I didn't recognize him in his white beard and Uncle Sam hat and he got upset with me not only for detaining him but for letting Miss Silkie enter unchallenged even though she was wearing an identical white beard and Uncle Sam hat.

The beard and hat looked cuter on her than on him! :)

Right Now I'm thirsty for some Crystal Pepsi, like the commercial in 1992 by Van Halen.

Van Halen will not be appearing at band camp this summer but Kenny will probably be playing a lot of their music at one of his band camp rockfests.

I'm working in real life today so I won't be back on here until this evening.

One of his band camp rockfests is blowing the roof off the joint right now which is weird because it's an outdoor rockfest.

It's an outdoor rockfest, and in this glorious cutoffs and tank top weather it did not take long to find out who was doing some topless swimming, bottomless swimming, etc., you get the idea, because the interns filled in at the guard house, taking notes and bandaging wounds that were described by the injured as, "probably bites from angry, disturbed crabs the other day" (at 2:30 AM).

...which reminds me, somebody tied a tire with a rope and then tied the tire and rope to the tree that overhangs the swimming hole. Can some of you who are proficient at knots, assist those of you who are expert tree climbers, in making sure the rope is properly secured at both ends, and on a good, strong, solid limb? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The other day (at 2:30 AM) some of the kids in band camp bunkhouse #3 decided to play a prank by TP-ing WMC's cabin but after WMC woke up and saw the mess, he was able to clean it up in less than a minute because the kids had forgotten to take the toilet paper out of the wrappers.

The wrappers and a great big bow have been put on another successful summer session move-in and I and the Board of Governors would like to thank everyone for all of your help.

When the night shift volunteers come on duty, the rest of us can relax and take a load off at Illusions. I hear Dave & Kenny have a little something special planned for us.

The moving vans are still called moving vans even when they are stuck in traffic and not moving at all which really makes no sense to me but then again I don't get why we park in a driveway and drive on a parkway.

We park in a driveway and drive on a parkway, no doubt because some politicians were out drinking - breakfast, lunch or dinner we haven't figured out - and got it bass ackwards.

Our nation's capital is full of children who need to get outa there for awhile, which is another reason we have never approved a band camp location there, since the only reason to go there is for an in and out day trip - Constitution takes you in; Independence gets you out.

Trust me, if you are not one of the creatures of that city, the only way you find your way out is by looking for Independence Avenue.

Snacks around here include the smoothies in the lounge, even though they are only bananas, strawberries and orange juice, invented by an early alumna of band camp.

You now have today's Latin lesson.

General Washington's Revolutionary War army had spy submarines, and we still recall with fondness the day some of our Rhode Island band campers got stopped in NY Harbor, near the Queen Mary, for not having safety lights on an exact replica of that submarine.

Seems they wondered whether torches would have remained lit then or now.
