The menu at IHOP, once known as the International House of Pancakes, always listed waffles and, depending on who was the guest, their children who ordered a waffle got a waffle with fresh strawberries, a dip of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, prepared by the chef who peeked out through the window in the doors to the kitchen as though he knew to expect them.
We have carried that tradition with us to the lounge, complete with the larger than normal sized glasses of orange juice and milk.
