Fantastic word game

In the future, the upcoming band camp semester will look much different than it does today and than it did last semester before we broke for the pandemic.

Looks like dmargalotti and ron posted at the same time and neither noticed. I've used both of their ending clues to move us along down the road.

Before we broke for the pandemic, we were looking forward to vacation trips during the summer and college football in the fall, now we've cancelled the vacations, survived the pandemic (so far), all the protests and a giant African dust cloud, so we still hold hope for football in the fall.

((Good job joining the clues WMC, I posted and went about my day yesterday not noticing dmargalotti's post that must have hit just shortly after mine. It's weird, that has happened to me a couple of times before))

That dust cloud was something else to behold!

Football in the fall will have to wait until we get through an abbreviated baseball season.

Happens all the time, ron. No worries. Just have to take a glance at your post once you've hit that submit button to make sure nothing strange has happened but, even then, we've had strange things happen. Whole pages have disappeared and then reappeared. Occasionally, we'll ask dmargalotti to look for those missing pages when he's on one of his international band camp expeditions. ;)

Basement dwellers, are typically those who sit on a padded desk chair in front of a computer at their mom's house, wearing a pair of stained sweatpants, an old, faded blue Florida Gators T-shirt with numerous moth holes and a significantly sized orange pit stain under both arms, sipping what is left of a warm 32 ounce bottle of Code Red Mountain Dew left from last night's late hour trip to the Pic-N-Save.

Last night's late hour trip to the Pic-N-Save, if it had taken place in Arkansas in the late '70s, when I lived there, might instead have been a trip to the Hep-Ur-Sef.

Weird enough, Arkansas was not the only State that had Hep-Ur-Sef, since stations existed here in Texas, as well, but it never caught up to the more popular U-Totem stores, prominently displaying a totem pole in front of most locations.

CTL, did Baby Giants exist in Arkansas when you were there in the 70's, too? They were another well established name down here in Texas, as well as Oklahoma, complete with signs featuring big red firecrackers outlined in red neon. Some sold gas, some didn't, but they weren't founded out of an oil company like Hep-Ur-Sef.

Prominently displaying a totem pole in front of most locations in these times, unless your chain is Native American-owned, will immediately spark a boycott.

I don't recall Baby Giant, or any of the other convenience stores there, with or without gas stations, by name, including the one I would go to much more often than Hep-Ur-Sef. That store was in a small plaza along with a pizza place called Big Banjo (which, according to Google search results, lasted at that location until 2018). It had really good burritos, but darned if I can remember its name.

"Causes that cause others much consternation" seems to have shut the game down because not a single person has contributed over the last 24 hours.

Well, we are into another weekend and it's a holiday weekend. kenny, Dave and I will be livestreaming a star spangled version of the 80s Rockfest from the new Illusions tomorrow night. Join us via your favorite internet device as we rock the house with the greatest 80s rock plus your requests.

We wish everyone a very safe and happy July 4th. Wear your masks, keep your social distance, and don't injure yourself with fireworks. For the PowerWorld associates taking their paid holiday today (Friday) or on Monday, enjoy your day. For those associates taking it later as a floating holiday, don't forget to let your supervisor know when you will be taking it.

Have a great weekend!

Over the last 24 hours, there's been nobody here but me so I'll just keep posting on my own because I'm a caring type of Game Czar and we can't let a holiday weekend shut the place down.

Dave and kenny and I will be doing our soundcheck at the new Illusions in a few hours. We'll be including that on the livestream for your listening pleasure.

We can't let a holiday weekend shut the place down so I'm back to contribute while rocking the new Illusions with kenny and Dave via livestream.

It was great to hear from so many contributors past and present via the request line including CTListener, ron, scanman and some of his security team, cotton belt, quadraphonic, raptusregalitur, andreajesus, joeybabe, a heavenly message from Anyacat, Yeziknoradio, and all of the lovely young library interns.

Happy July 4th!

Rocking the new Illusions with kenny and Dave via livestream with your connected sound system turned up to max volume, is a good way to blow your speakers out.

Blow your speakers out by jacking up the volume from the July 4th fireworks celebration.

Hello mr. scanman. Took a walk through band camp last evening. Saw several of your security team doing their usual excellent job.

The July 4th fireworks celebration was cancelled where I live due to the darn virus and threats from protesters, so we celebrated by firing off bottle rockets in the backyard.
