Fantastic word game

Received is another one of those words which we find awkward to use in the beginning of a sentence, and today was my turn to be in one of those very special predicaments.

Your favorite electronic device (YFED as I prefer)
Very funny CT. Good to see you finally somewhat jumping on the bandwagon. I can see a chair on the Executive Board for you in the future.

Late night talk show hosts have come and gone over the decades from Steve Allen and Johnny Carson to Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel and the fake and intolerable Jimmy Fallon.

A late night talk show is something PowerWorld needs to develop. Perhaps The Stuart and Ms. Phyllis Hour. Or Late Night with Miss Silkie and Sweetie Pie. The dmargalotti Radio Show on TV. We'll discuss it at an upcoming meeting.

Stephen Colbert and "Cryin'" Jimmy Kimmel happen to reside on my side of the political spectrum, so I politely request that snarky partisan labeling of those two cease, in the spirit of human decency.

Can't we all get along, or at least fake it? Or is that "intolerable" to you?

It will be respected in future posts because I follow Johnny Carson's advice to never do anything to alienate half your audience.

Regardless of your political leanings, no one has come close to filling Johnny's shoes. He knew that his job was to entertain. Period. It's not that he didn't have strong political opinions, but his vast audience wasn't watching every night to hear him give political commentary. When it came to his monologue, he poked fun equally at politicians on both sides of the aisle, but it was never nasty or mean spirited. I miss those days...
