Fantastic word game

Relaxation is on the calendar for tonight but on the calendar for tomorrow night is a whole lot of getting down with one's bad self and a whole bunch of rockin' and rollin' as we rock, sing, and dance the night away with the Saturday night 80s Rockfest at the new Illusions starring CT's favorite bucking bovine.

And then, of course, join us later in the early morning hours at Denny's where kenny will be cooking up some yummy stuff.

That didn't read as sarcasm, dmargalotti. It read as a personal shot at me. Not very befitting of a man who was called to do what you do, and represent what you represent. You all may not like the game play coming from down here, but so you all see it from this perspective, I'm not too keen on the subtle jabs that were thrown at Stuart when I first started playing this game, nor addressing those of us who aren't a part of the "Kliq" (that ones for you, CH) with these "demerits" and criticisms of contributions, because "his head may explode" from his own lacking skills, nor do I appreciate WMC threatening to ignore my contributions simply because he can't wrap his head around semicolon usage. WMC, play the game, as it was intended, and keep your little comments, demerits and such to yourself, the little jabs at Stuart to yourself, and we can all get along and play the game that he created in perfect harmony and bliss.
 
The future of this game will very much depend on where we are and, most especially, where we've been.

rosecity, the stuff you mentioned above are not new. They may be new to you but they are part of the game (and this IS a game) for a long time before you came along. The jabs at Stuart (on my part, anyway) have to do with his frequent leaving and coming back again. It's happened a few times. Ask him. He'll tell you. We like Stuart. We really do. He didn't "get" it at first, for quite a while actually, but when he did, he was ok. And he has stuck around for quite a while this time around. We hope he'll stay. Stuart is an adult, by the way. If he has or had a problem with our "treatment" of him, he would let us know as he always as. But he plays along with it including his fascination with TheDude. Demerits and criticisms of contributions (most especially my dislike of ellipses) are a very long term part of this game. Early on, you mentioned you dug into the archives to see what we do here. If, in fact, you did that, you would have seen all of that. The rule is it's a one sentence game. Not two sentences. Not parts of sentences. One sentence. If there's an issue with that one sentence, we may choose to bypass the contribution and clue. It happens and it has happened many times. Again, nothing new. The game as it was intended has evolved over time. This is where we are now, whether you like it or not, rosecity. And who is the 'he' in "the game that he created in perfect harmony and bliss"? Are you referring to Stuart? Stuart did not create this game. The person who created the game was, at the time, known as TheDude. TheDude left after a long time and then came back again (kinda like Stuart actually) but couldn't and wouldn't adjust to the evolution of the game at the time. He very humorously tried to get the game shut down. We ignored him and he disappeared. So, rosecity, the game as intended evolved. We like it. Even CT likes it. Deep down inside, he really loves it. On the outside, not so much. It's all smoke and mirrors. So we will stay with where we are. We aren't changing because you think we should. Let's talk about something else. Such as, your previous incarnation (and banning) as cotton belt.

It is true, I did leave the game twice. The first time, I made many errors (which were pointed out). I did not have the grasp of the game. The second time I left was mostly my fault. We started to get into politics and that never ends happily.
TheDude is the founder of the game. He played in the early days of the game.

Please feel free to look back at all 2,175 pages and point them out to me. Go ahead, I'll wait. In the meantime, I don't give hoot what you post about because it's all part of the GAME and the back-and-forth in our contributions should never been taken seriously or personally by anyone. Trust me rcm...if I had something personal to say to you or if I wanted to take a shot at you, I would. It would be direct and unmistakably clear, not implied in a game post. Got it? We good now?

FYI, YOU were not even mentioned in the post that seemingly offended you! "(Utter foolishness) abounds in the minds of those who think interest in TFWG mainstays such as The Lovely Olivia, topless driving, the mechanical bull and Saturday Night Rockfests at Illusions, Megan McCormick, band camp, the lovely young library interns, and a host of other topics has waned and it just goes to show us that you have no respect for (the traditions that have made us the greatest continuous thread in the history of the internet)". Sheesh!

Watch me move on and not give a hoot about this nonsense because I have far more important things to deal with first thing on a Monday.

Enjoy the popcorn, CT. I'm a really big fan of cheddar cheese flavored popcorn like SmartFood, but they should probably change the name because no matter how much I eat, my IQ remains unchanged.
 
First thing on a Monday morning, I groan that it's Monday and hope that the week will pass quickly so I can enjoy the weekend.
 
In our plants across the country, we process tons of duck, goose, turkey and chicken meat a day, putting tasty poultry on America's dinner tables.
