Fantastic word game

The bills are easily paid via the revenue we generate through our popular band camp programs throughout the world.

As always, thanks to dmargalotti, our International Director of Band Camp (IDBC as we prefer).

Interesting topics not covered in The Fantastic Word Game (TFWG as we are required to mention) include musings on whether humans have genuine agency over the decisions they make, or if their actions are predetermined.

Was I free to write this contribution? Or was some superior being or power controlling my thoughts and actions in such a way that this post, and subsequent question, were destined to happen? And if we do not have Free Will, am I really responsible for all the grammatical and punctuation errors that have been made, earning me multiple demerits along the way? Feel free to discuss among yourselves.

"Predetermined destiny is who I am, I got my finger on the trigger like the Son of Sam" is a lyric from a song by the Beastie Boys.

"Looking Down The Barrel of a Gun," IIRC.

Discussion of my next trip to sunny Florida won't happen for awhile but I'll just let you know now that it will be in early September.

Back home from errands, I checked into the FWG, thought about other Beastie Boys philosophical references, vacations, and Earth, Wind & Fire references, and this is what I came up with.

With my knowledge of country music, I could offer deep philosophical musings on trucks, heartbreaks, cheating, drinking and rural life, but I'm inclined to believe that an actual redneck (or hayseed, hick, rube or bumpkin, if he prefers) would be far more qualified.

Positions in radio, at least ones that pay a livable wage, are hard to come by these days as media consumption undergoes a huge paradigm shift and broadcasters struggle to stay afloat amidst rising operating costs and declining revenues.

Tired of this cold dreary weather we are having this week in my own neck of the woods.

I need to move to sunny Florida. Maybe I'll just move into one of our local band camps down here.

My own neck of the woods is supposed to be gearing up for summer boating season on the lake, but it doesn't look like that will be happening anytime soon given the extended forecast which calls for weather that feels more like autumn than summer.
