With him on that lonely stretch of beach abandoned hours earlier by the daytime sun seekers was a nearly full bottle of Christian Brothers brandy that WMC intended to put to good use as he aimed to wash away the stinging pain of his isolation.
Isolation, deep and bleak, a grey rain of the soul, a house without doors, a cathedral without windows, a dark without light, so easily avoided if only WMC would unbend, unwind, unbutton, and join his friends and colleagues at band camp.
Band camp, while the memories had begun to slowly fade with the passing of time, it was most assuredly the last time WMC truly felt as if the stars in his own personal universe were fully aligned.
Fully aligned, band camp is like a chiropractor of the soul, an orthodontist of the spirit, setting straight those elements of our lives that have shifted out of place to form a more perfect union of mind, body, and musical aspirations.
Musical aspirations which once seem fully attainable as a child had become nothing more than a fleeting dream, an unfulfilled promise, an empty hope after one unusually harsh critic with a passion for creating disillusionment in the marginally talented gave WMC a somewhat deserved scathing review.
Scathing review after scathing review received and cataloged by his publicist, quadraphonic continued with his dream of rock stardom, but it was too many years after band camp and he'd forgotten just how fickle and demeaning the world outside of band camp can be.
Outside of band camp can be frightening and that is why I spend most of my nights under the fishing pier at the TFWG Beach and Boating Center awaiting my beloved mermaid.
dmargalotti seems to have a fixation on me today. Must be all those romance novels he stole from Mrs dmargalotti.
Sleuth related television shows are not as numerous as they once were but there have been many sleuth tv roles such as Dan Tanna, Mickey Spillane, Spenser, The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, and everyone's favorite senior citizen, Jessica Fletcher.
Just don't go anywhere near wherever Jessica Fletcher travels or you'll wind up dead.
Dan Tanna, Mickey Spillane, Spenser, The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, and everyone's favorite senior citizen, Jessica Fletcher were never invited to the band camp ice cream social, but they were always rumored to be in the bushes nearby.
It wasn't the ice cream cone that was dripping, decided Jessica Fletcher, but rather all her elderly sleuth friends who were dripping other things that led a trail right back to their hiding spot on the outskirts of camp.
Geez, Ssummers, I was hoping we could have a slightly longer case rather than an extremely quick one-post solution. Anything to get out of constant band camp nonsense for an hour or two, ya know? :
By the way, Ss, RJ needs your assistance over at ITG. ;D
On the outskirts of camp there was an old boxcar with a couple of filthy mattresses that the band camp detectives always staked out, and which band campers never told their parents about.
The future bandcampers who were conceived there have no idea why their names are something like Rocky Beach, Forrest Walk, or Under the Bleachers Jones.
Under the Bleachers Jones was conceived by a young couple who got a little amorous over by the bandcamp football field and it seems that he got one through her uprights.
That was the best football analogy I could come up with. Please add your own but keep it PG-rated please. :
