Fantastic word game

Miscreant seems to be a bit too harsh of a way to describe those who come here for dialogue rather than game-playing but perhaps I'm too caught up in the sexy way that Anyacat manages to drive topless while using words like vexatious.

But I could be wrong. ::) ;D

I'll have to agree, "vexatious" is so much more than a dime store word...and it is flattering to be considered a harrassing villain. But, inane postings? Et tu, Anyacat? The horror...the horror!

Using words like vexatious in a sentence shows a masterful command of the English language which one might presume is the product of higher education and involvement in highly intellectual activities for which band camp most certainly does not qualify.

Qualify for a spot on the band camp summer scrabble tournament by using words like vexatious and you could be on your way to the Band Camp Hall of Fame which is chaired by dmargalotti, Silkie, and Olivia Newton-John.

The Band Camp Hall of Fame which is chaired by dmargalotti, Silkie, and Olivia Newton-John has a very strict nomination process and we co-chairs have a reputation for holding grudges and denying membership to any current or former posters who may have made disparaging remarks against or been intolerant of some of our fellow board members.

Our fellow board members are a tight little group and we support each other in times of disparagement and vexatiousness.

Top that, Anyacat. ;D ;)

(i can... :-*)

Times of disparagement and vexatiousness test men's souls and show everyone who's got their back... :)

Back to the subject at hand, andrea, because what I was expecting was for someone (namely Anyacat, but anyone really) to come up with another big $100 word.

'Back' isn't really a $100 word. :-*

Another big $100 word is a complaint I have heard from recalcitrant Scrabble opponents who erroneously maintain that "abaxial" is not a word.

(Don't play Scrabble with an out-of-date non-official dictionary. And, actually, I do use words such as ubiquitous, recalcitrant, penultimate and, my favorite, concomitant is every day conversation because I like the way they sound. I once had an editor, however, who struck such words from my copy.)

Word Of The Day sounds like a great new feature for Anyacat especially since The World Famous Anyacat's Travel Tips seems to have run dry.

The World Famous Anyacat's Travel Tips seems to have run dry in its present form is improper grammar, whether as a title which should be underlined or as it seems to be intended; however, since it occurred in the band camp tavern it must be overlooked.

Since it occurred in the band camp tavern it must be overlooked because Silkie doesn't know what he is talking about.

The World Famous Anyacat's Travel Tips is the subject. It's an it. It's one thing. It's the title of something. It could also be written as It seems to have run dry. Understand? ;D

I'm a little confused about which bold I should follows, so I will do both

Silkie doesn't know what he is talking about the World Famous Anyacat's Travel Tips, which makes no sense, but neither does this game.

(Travel Tip: Don't go to Mexico, or at least don't go to Mexico without sufficient ransom money.)

Game play, Anyacat, should have continued with "Silkie doesn't know what he is talking about" because that is the most recent bolded clue while the rest of that post was in italics which is how we converse with everyone and, therefore, was not part of the actual game.

And I'm really looking forward to Anyacat's Word Of The Day. ;)

Game play does not mean, if one reads my previous honors English student post, that a proper title should not be underlined or italicized

:p

Underlined or italicized are two methods used by those who wish to add emphasis to the written word, or, in this case, a bold is used as a clue to what word or phrase should be used to begin a sentence.

(Travel Tip: Travel Scrabble is a nice way to kill time on a plane, provided you don't dump those tiny tiles all over the place. From now on, I plan to ignore extraneous bickering.)

I will accept 'extraneous' as the first Word Of The Day. ;)

Sentence structure is always important and I will expect nothing less than perfection from Silkie as he has informed us that he was an honors English student.

An honors English student can be a terrific bore when he puts his giant sized, expert sentence constructing mind to it.

It seems that some people are getting a bit restless and need to blow off some steam so I suggest we all convene to the PowerWorld Great Outdoors Adventure Park.
