Delusion is the best place to vacation, where you can have a good time without resorting to hyperbole
 
Hyperbole, defined as an obvious and intentional exaggeration is most often heard by people desperate to make a dramatic point or draw attention to themselves.
 
Themselves here appears to refer to anyacat and dmargalotti who are humoring each other and the rest of us.
