Fantastic word game

people may sweep aisles and earn a little money by working at the price chopper super market, but hopefully you won't be working there when you're fifty!

Word games can be fun, particularly if one can use obscure or rarely used words such as concomitant.

Concomitant results of girls eating too many sweets include the taking up of two seats!

Dungarees worn tightly on hot women is sexy, but if worn on a fat chics it is disgustingly offensive.

Procedural note: The final word in this sentence is clearly "offensive"--regardless of what appears in bold.

Offensive as some words are, they have no power other than that with which you invest them.

Los Angeles is where Van Morrison ended up but he started in Northern Ireland as a member of the band Them, which is best known for Gloria, which was voted one of the Greatest Song of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.

Magazine subscriptions are available through Publisher's Clearing House which for a long time was known by their sweepstakes promoted by former Tonight Show side kick, Ed McMahon.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute...Time Out!

I was scolded two days ago for leading with "Dancing" when "Keep On Dancing" was highlighted. And now you say that:

The final word in this sentence is clearly "offensive"--regardless of what appears in bold.

Seems inconsistent to me. Could we please get the rules figured out right now for everyone's benefit before anyone types another word? Thanks.

Dear RRR

Final WORD
Singular
The final word of Dancing with the Stars is Stars, I realize that you were unfairly scolded a few days ago and I am sorry that you were unfairly scolded, but the final word in the sentence to me means the final word in the sentence...but you know, these days, it could mean anything'

Where was I

McMahon is a fairly common name in the United States showing just how many Irish people left the Emerald Isle in search of something yummy to eat as their crops were blighted.

Blighted potato crops in Ireland from 1845-1849 led to what is now known as the Great Potato Famine which claimed as many as a million lives and created another 2 million refugees.

(He was not unfairly scolded...by me. Regardless of what rules Dude stated when he created this post, things have changed along the way without problems. Feel free to go back through nearly 100 pages of this thread to figure that out. Many of us have been using last word OR PHRASE for awhile now....especially those of us who have been posting on the thread since the beginning or nearly the beginning. Some of us have also taken to hijacking certain answers (generally Dude's answers because he uses the word awesome so much when he cant come up with something fairly original) and taking over from the previous answer.

So, to summarize.....highlight final WORD or PHRASE from last post to be used as first WORD or PHRASE in next post. Thank you very much and have a nice day. )
