Fantastic word game

Afternoon Delight was performed by the Starland Vocal Band in 1976 and it's just one of the songs you can expect to hear when Kenny and I return to Illusions in a few weeks for a special One Hit Wonders Weekend!

By the way, someone (WMC) may challenge Kennys' post because they (WMC) might think it violates a rule pertaining to the posting of complete sentences and while that someone (WMC) may be correct from a technical standpoint, I do believe there was an addendum added somewhere along the way that created an exemption for song lyrics and/or famous quotes from TV and movies. But then again I could be wrong and if I am, I'm sure someone (WMC) will let me know.

Blind with ecstasy (not the drug) made the poor boy wish he used drugs, so that he could need some ecstasy, because he wished he was blind after his blind date, who was not dreadfully worried about it, being blind herself.

His blind date, who was not dreadfully worried about it, being blind herself, was unable to see kenny's woefully inadequate contribution and since no one has bothered to challenge it, I shall leave it be even though I'm shaking and crying while doing so.

I don't recall any addendum other than the one for Anyacat's haiku contributions but if you guys wanna add a lyric/quote addendum, go right ahead but I think it's opening up a whole new can of worms and we'll regret it. Shall we take a vote amongst the Board members?

Geez, and I'm just realizing that without Anyacat and raptus, the Board is really small now. We may have to also think about adding a new Board member at some point.

I'm shaking and crying while doing so but nevertheless, I am here to add my morning contribution and with the way things have been going lately, I fully expect the rest of my day to go downhill from here.

Vote on an addendum that would recognize songs lyrics/quotes as appropriate contributions to TFWG:

Downhill from here, the PowerWorld PowerSlide Roller Coaster winds its way through most of downtown before finally conveniently stopping at TFWG Headquarters.

TFWG Headquarters is in the center of TFWGTown, which is actually more of a city, but we incorporated it as "Town" so we can maintain our bucolic leanings.

Vote on an addendum that would recognize songs lyrics/quotes as appropriate contributions to TFWG:
WMC: No
quad: Yes. But I would also remind all participants that we must be judicious in our use of lyrics. Whole sentences are, of course, better, but if you can make a point and keep the thread going on with enough pith, mirth, nostalgia, or positive vibes to warrant just a few lyrics, then it's acceptable. This maintains our adherence to the spirit of the FWG and our positive, can-do attitudes, rather than to a too-strict legalistic approach to posting. Besides, it's all about the Hamiltons, baybee!

Country Time Lemonade commercials on CMT is about all the "country" you'll see these days on that network.

It is getting close to the time where Silkie should be checking in to make a contribution to TFWG and when she does, she will also hopefully cast her vote on the addendum to our rules and regulations that would recognize song lyrics and quotes as proper contributions.

What say you, Miss Silke? Yay or Nay?

Proper contributions, according to our library lexicon, most certainly include recognition of song lyrics and quotes, as long as they are part of good sentence structure, seein' as how I have done it myself, and all.

Seein' as how I have done it myself, and all is still right with the world, I guess I have no choice but to accept the vote and move on but, let me tell you, once it gets out of hand, I'll be sure to tell you I told you so.

I told you so much stuff about the phone system these last few weeks, but I'd be darned if I could remember what it was all about now.

[size=8pt]Only 14 USERS? Man, this now really IS the slowest I've seen things on here!

By the way, we got the usenet server going yesterday. As it happened, the university's Zoology Department were the only ones who volunteered to host it; apparently either no-one else cared or had space/time. The node name we (well, Robin) gave it is "wgzoo" (pron. "wag-zoo") and the fastest UUCP routing path to the greater Usenet that I can think of for the time being, right off the top of my head, is wgzoo!decvax!...

Hopefully we'll get something straightened out in time, but Duke as well as the University of Toronto, were both kind enough to lend us bandwidth until we can get it "on its own feet". If you want an account on wgzoo, just ask and thou shalt receive. (Binary groups/posts, of course, are not accessible. Don't bother asking!)

Here's to the future, making WGZOO one of the largest and most prominent nodes on the whole of Usenet!

The manufacturers' guidelines are what you need to follow if you want to maintain the warranty, but they are usually useless anyway because of the hoops you have to jump through.
