Fantastic word game

The big smoke cloud hanging in the upper atmosphere over most of the city yesterday reportedly allowed for more petty, in-air crime to happen, which sounds kind of bad for the condition of our society, but it's not so bad when you think about the fact that our local superheroes The FWG Man and Captain Slappy benefited from the practice.

Our local superheroes The FWG Man and Captain Slappy benefited from the practice as it gave them more media exposure and their first ever joint appearance at the main campus.

They even assisted with move-in down on the lower campus where the younger kiddies live. I heard, after I left, that they even staged a story reading exercise. Right now, I'm in the cafeteria supervising dinner plans for the entire campus. Things have gone very well aside from some parents inadvertantly leaving with luggage that should have stayed.

Their first ever joint appearance at the main campus was covered by all the local media as well as several national news organizations who decided to take a chance on coming because they heard rumors about a possible impromptu Olivia Newton-John concert.

Rumors about a possible impromptu Olivia Newton-John concert have been swirling about for days and days, which is not surprising considering the rest of us are so busy that we have not had much time for anything else.

Since this has been a day of big surprises, blessings and miracles I suppose that it is not outside of the realm of possibility.

Time for anything else goes on hold when The Lovely Olivia comes down to sing some melodies.

Don't tell the band campers but she'll be here tomorrow evening. Shhhhhhhhh!

Straight to your soul, maybe, but Olivia Newton-John doesn't quite get my soul vote, at least not the way that shimmering dove did this morning, as it flew in place over the water with tail down and outstretched wings, as if to wave, then gracefully dipped down for a drink before flying away, although it did fly back and forth twice before finally departing from view.

It was a fabulous scene, especially in morning mist with some cloud cover.

Ideas are sometimes acted upon before people have fully considered the consequences and that almost always leads to a compounding of the problems they were trying to overcome in the first place.

Place yourself in a position from which you actually have solidi footing, because here at TFWG we know fact from fiction, faith from fancy, and vindictive jealousy from genuine interest in friendship.

Naturally, one person who heard about my Dove yesterday has proclaimed that it was an omen of death. So, here are the facts, having studied all:

1. For those imbeciles who are superstitious, if a swallow flies with its breast straight up along your window there will be a death. If that were so, and God were sending a message of death, he would find a swallow, even in an area where they do take up residence.

2. The significance of seeing a bird with outstretched wings is, to people of faith, I read this morning, is that it reminds us of the Cross, on which Christ died even for vindictive, jealous imbeciles - if they care to receive Him, regardless of what pew they warmed, since even Satan goes to church and knows the Bible better than most.

3. Interestingly enough, the Dove symbolizes the Spirit of the Living God, who also descended upon Christ at His baptism, while a thunderous Voice proclaimed, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased." This does not necessarily imply that God is well pleased with me, just that I thought of Him and Life, not of death and misery. His joy is my strength.

4. So, we had a Dove (and you didn't, whatever you are) that stayed over the water and flapped its wings with tail down, as birds are prone to do, before then gracefully flew to the water for a drink.

Self-centered people are not allowed here and many have been expelled along the way.

Looks like about 98% of move-in is done with a few stragglers coming along this afternoon. We've got the secret ON-J concert this evening and normal band camp stuff starts tomorrow. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work and volunteerism, even dmargalotti who managed to pop in for an hour late this morning to the cafeteria to supervise the younger kiddies for breakfast.

Humble beginnings came to mind on the way back this morning, and I noted that in a few spots high speed is not permitted, also observing that there remains a fair bit of cleanup to be done following Hurricane Irene, but let it never be said that we did not do our part to make a difference, because that is the job of the Director of Fun.

In one spot I don't think there will ever be complete high speed, because the rails are just too doggoned close together for the full appreciation of high speed tilt.

The job of the Director of Fun is one of the most important positions here at band camp because we've learned over the years, that happy campers make the most beautiful music.

Happy campers make the most beautiful music, and they know how to arrange it without an agenda in between time.

Exist today because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. ;D

My sources have informed me that the band campers, in honor dmargalotti's medical procedure, will be having a weeklong 'Operation Tournament'. Remember that board game Operation? That's what it is. Winner at week's end gets to join dm's doctor for followup exploratory surgery at a time to be determined. Good times.
