deductible taxes can be hard to find!

Because Congress was not totally asleep at the switch, deductible taxes CAN be found but only if you look at the IRS website or call their toll-free number. Because Congress failed to act in a reasonable time, the TY-2006 tax forms do not include a line on which state/local sales taxes can be deducted. The deduction, however, WAS finally approved late last month and those taxes ARE deductible. It's just that the rules books that come with your forms and the forms themselves, do not tell you how to do it!

Find me anyone in govt that pounds on your door when they owe you money, and I will have a harder time believing what's harder to find

Temp has just climbed to -0.3 degrees F.

About 18-inches of snow on the ground in three layers and a soft, gentle snow is making the trees and nearby mountains into scenes right out of a Disneyesque Christmas cartoon. It's beautiful. Especially since, in a condo association, some young buck gets to shovel.

Actually, with temperatures down to -20 F earlier today, some 40-degrees below normal for this time of year, one can only wonder about global warming.
