Science gets a lot more credit for stuff than it deserves.
That geography, algebra, and political science crap that we had to learn back then was probably more of a "culling of the herd" thing and an exercise in futility to help us for our workaday lives as drones than it was actual education.

Actual education is something that you don't hear about too often these days...
Into 2009 you cannot divide the number 9 and get an asnwer that is a whole number.

The word of GOD is worth a mention on TFWG at this time of year.
Very confusing to me was WMC's failure to chide anyacat for reverting to a sentence fragment post (bad kitty, anya), but then I noticed that he was inexplicably AWOL.
AWOL is an old Army acronym for "absent without leave" but today it fits right in with text messaging lingo such as LOL, IMHO, OMG, and ROTFLMAO.
ROTFLMAO is a fairly appreciative and courteous response, but today's texting generation (You kids get off my lawn!) is more likely to respond to my helpful comments and accumulated wisdom with STFU!
