Fantastic word game

I was correct in that Aileen Quinn deal, but the ITG points are hollow and meaningless since the government called its currency while I was in another place.

I can't find a place to redeem them.
Overall though dang yall, it ain't serious. It's the internets, it don't "matter."
But if you're going to pose a question and expect people to answer correctly and keep trying to answer correctly, there has to be some agreement on the ultimate answer, or at least a source that says your answer is right.
You can't really guesstimate at trivia, it's specificity is what makes it 'trivia.' If there can only be one answer, then there must be some agreement on that answer.
Otherwise all the questions may as well be "I'm thinking of a number from 1 to 100,000" but the answer is location coordinates, or "I'm thinking of a color" but the answer is a time of year, like those Netflix radio commercials. None of the answers will make sense.

"It just ain't happening here" is what the pastor said when I asked where the swingers' convention was supposed to be.

I hate to parse, especially with you Quad, because I always enjoy your posts, but if we're talking about the Aileen Quinn thing, then who's to say that she hasn't wrapped another movie today or yesterday or last week. It wouldn't necessarily be included in the most recent filmography, but it would be no less correct than your answer. It's just that your source differs from his. I ran into this once at the start of the contest when he asked, "what has legs and flies but can't walk" I first responded with "dragonfly"(which is technically correct), but it wasn't the answer to the question he asked because his question was culled from his source, not mine. He told me that my answer wasn't the one he was looking for. So I didn't press it. No big deal. That's all I was saying. Now, having said that, if the points won in the ITG could've won me a golden ticket to Willie Wonka's factory, I might feel differently.

The swingers' convention was supposed to be a lot like "Caligula," but it turned out to be a meeting for square dancers.

Who's to say anything isn't somewhere on the internets, ssummers? Don't parse with me, I'm right.
You shoulda brought up the dragonfly. I was a bit peeved myself, shocked and horrored too.
Let one thing go, then another, pretty soon it's Thunderdome.
I hear the market for ITG points is still closed. I'm still kinda bummed.
Overall though, "whatever." I'll get over it, because the show must go on, and the moneymakers will not be thwarted.

A meeting for square dancers was scheduled in order to make them more hip.

First, anything can be on the internet, but if you're the trivia game master, the correct answer depends on your source and you would've already had to find the source on the internet to use the info for the question in the first place...further, it would be your source, your game, your correct answer. Second point is that the beauty of open discourse is that one can parse with anyone he/she so chooses. ;) Third, it's a game...besides, I liked the Thunderdome.

Make them more hip and put both eyes on one side of their melted faces, and you too can paint models in the style of Salvador Dali.

First, I don't know about your first there. Except for radio-info, the internets kind of scare me. This place is Utopia. Second, you can parse with me, but that just means you're still wrong. Third, if it's only a game, how come we were given points? Nobody gets points in the TFWG, just the occasional backrub or swingers' convention ducats. I even got a 1099.

In the style of Salvadore Dali, he stirred the green and red jello in the hot tub just before andreajesus and anyacat jumped in.

I parse, therefore, I am...right. So, if TFWG doesn't award points, where do the points you get penalized come from. Logic dictates that points deducted from one participant is the same as awarding that same amount of points to everyone else instead of that person who had points deducted..therefore, the ITG is as much of a game as TFWG is.

Just before andreajesus and Anyacat jumped in this place was almost The He-Man Woman Haters' Club.

The TFWG only doles out demerits and timeouts, no actual exchange of currency is implied.
For the Summer Employees' Cruise, there are scrip given out to be used at the resorts.
Scrip distribution is based on employee performance throughout the year.
So get in ya TPS Reports and make sure ya bold ya clues! And don't parse with me, that's just lunacy.

The He-Man Woman Haters' Club left the building when I came in... :-*

In walked Andreajesus and out walked all resistance.

Points, demerits, scrips, goals, runs, errors, etc. These are all just terms for performance in competitions of all sorts. Competition in both ITG and TFWG imply performance and, tho the units of measurement differ, they are units of measurement nonetheless. Therefore, that puts the incorrectness in your argument that ITG isn't a game. Also, it makes your statement "if you parse with me, that just means yours still wrong" patently false, therefore it isn't lunacy to parse with you...which makes me right. My TPS reports are in, btw. ;D

Out walked all resistance when andreajesus walked in with her plans for all the Boys of TFWG.

My My, quad and SKenJenningsSummers are certainly having quite the level of social intercourse this evening. ;D Ya know, the intial PowerWorld Board of Directors (just me) considered an actual form of payment on demerits and timeouts and we were almost there but then quad came on and he was mostly responsible for the current system. I'm thinking of converting my 2900 ITG points and donating them to that system. I can't use them since I'm no longer over there at ITG and I'm no longer over there voluntarily so you can all have a peaceful game. ;D ;D ;D

All the Boys of TFWG are above average in every way, but not as far above average as the Girls.

I was just about to spray sKenJenningssummers with a water barrage to stop him from running in logical circles [insert slide whistle sound from Supertramp's "Logical Song" here], then my eye came across his TPS records. Flawless from his first week on the job!
But then I thought about how he slighted the PowerWorld as "a game" and I decided that he should get one demerit for his gaffe. The wound is closing, but it takes time. Burgess Meredith is my cut man Mickey, I will make it. This I vow.

As the Girls of TFWG continued on their quest of dominance, PowerWorld members made sure that everything else moved right along.

Everything else moved right along, even though the emergency medical personnel, the police, fire/rescue, civil air authorities, and two town councilmen had to be called in at one point.

At one point, fire and rescue actually had to extinguish andreajesus' and anyacat's flaming stripper pole.

You'll heal up nicely, Quad. My logic, however, isn't circular, tho it comes full circle. Logically speaking, logic is logical, no
matter how illogical one's logic might be.
