Her Energy and Tourism duties have been sadly sidelined, what with her current obsession with all things band camp.
(I can't help it, the very idea of band camp makes me chuckle).
So here's one more Travel Tip for the road: I was one of those fools who ate at Le Cirque in New York, where they treat you like dirt because you are not a celebrity but take your money for their way over priced food. I hear that in their new location there is a cafe as well as a dining room. No doubt the cafe offers over priced hamburgers. I enjoy well prepared food in a comfortable atmosphere but it just spoils the whole experience when I get the feeling that even the bus boys are sneering at me. I understand from some friends that new, relatively inexpensive restaurants offer some really terrific food. They promise to take me to Gusto Ristorante e Bar Americano when next I visit, which offers a terrific meal for less than $40--and that's not bad when chowing down in NYC. The restaurant received an 8.3 out of a possible 10 in the New York Times, so it's probably not dreadful. Don't even get me started on The Tavern on The Green--no extra charge for staples in your salad or the condescending waiters.)
