Fantastic word game

I almost said something about tuba players being husky.
Then I said:
Tuba players in the band camp maneuvers are always bringing up the rear.
But dang if dmargalotti didn't beat me to the punch.

In their cabin at band camp is the origination point for the stories obliquely referenced on the band's 8-page section of your average high school yearbook.

Your average high school yearbook usually stands as a reminder of the girls (or guys) you loved and lost, the team on which you never played, and the prom you wish you had avoided.

(I attended my 25th GRADE school reunion, about 100 years ago, and when we left those people in eighth grade, the girls were in the john swooning over John McGuiness and the boys were outside muttering dark warnings about John McGuiness, who was the wealthiest, best look bully in school. Twenty five years later, the women are in the john swooning over John McGuiness and the men are outside sharing dark memories of John, who left early after having been reminded of the thousands of little slights that he did not remember but we/they never forgot.)

Avoided by many, disco was said to be the end of rock and roll as we had always known it but in retrospect it wasn't so bad, for at root it was all about having fun.

The return of Basnya!

Yeah I know, nobody realized I was gone.

Allentown, Pennsylvania was the subject of a Billy Joel song on his album "The Nylon Curtain" back in the 80s, and today it is the scene of great joy as the town slowly realizes that Basnya's back at the TFWG!

Combustible interaction adds spice to your summer stay at band camp.

(Travel Tip: When cruising, make sure that tipping is not already included in your package. Also, some lines do not allow tipping. However, tipping is usually expected on cruise ships. Plan to spend $10 to $15 per day for tips. At the end of your cruise, staff will expect to be tipped. For example: Wait Staff / Restaurant: about $5.50 per day (Head waiter $3.00, Bus Boy $2.50). Cabin Staff (Cabin Steward) about $3 per day. About $1 for the Restaurant Manager, Maitre d', Chief and Housekeeper. Figure on $1.50 per person in your party to your assistant waiter, and $2.50 per person for your headwaiter on three- and four-night cruises. For seven-night and longer cruises, headwaiter gratuities are at your discretion. Double-check that bill. Many lines add a 15% gratuity automatically to bar, beverage, wine and deck service tabs. Finally, pay close attention to the emergency exits and drills. In fact, you might want to spend your first day familiarizing yourself with the emergency exit route from your cabin to the open decks.)

Camp is something that I was never too crazy about... :-*

(now who is this Basnya? he's got a LOT of competition... :-*:-*)

Andrea

About the time one realizes a mistake has been made a choice must be made: Come clean about the error or make an attempt to erase any evidence that could be traced back to the offending party.

Basnya. Just another poster, nothing to see here, move along...

The offending party, it would appear, depends upon upon which side your Rush is Limbaugh'd.

He minds the publicity about as much as Bre'r Rabbit minded being flung into that briar patch.

That briar patch is awfully prickly and looks alot like poison ivy so be careful out there.

Basnya, welcome back. TPS reports have been instituted since you last were with us. They are due in to Quad by Fridays at 5pm unless he states otherwise. Promptness and neatness are appreciated.

A cop working out of Hill Street in the 80s wasn't that much different than a cop working out of NYPD Blue in the 90s and early 2000s except that, now, there was alot more nudity.

And there's certainly nothing wrong with more nudity as long as it belongs to the woman-folk of the precinct. 8)

We all are fortunate that people like Dmargalotti, Quad, and WMC are on this Board because they make my day with their posts... :-*

Their posts are good and they brighten up a lot of people's days, but my posts leave something to be desired.

Yeah, when the ladies read my posts, the posts leave "more quadraphonic" to be desired.
A little quadraphonic is never enough!
