Fantastic word game

Smurfette was no slouch but when she left the pouch on the couch, her father became a real grouch.

Grouch is a good name for those of us who can't take a joke, or don't know a joke when they read or who simply take themselves way too seriously.

(Still laughing from demargolatti's hysterical post. High five there il mio amico.)

Olivia Newton-John once had a concert on HBO around the time that Physical was a big hit for her and I watched the entire concert...with the sound off.

No arguments from me Quad...no arguments from me.

With the sound off like we had to watch "Friday Night Videos," the ON-J experience is still tantamount to any other in the entertainment world, especially when she did that "Physical" video.

Oh I get it ace, it's all about the rules.

Yep, pretty much. That is what "games" have...rules.

I hear ya chief. I'm speaking your lingo pal. The rules are the rules and what's right is right, right? Thank you for enlightening me there sport. I'm such a better person now that you've brought your expertise to a game that ran pretty smoothly for two years before you came along. Dude, you are the man!

High praise, indeed. It was The Dude's game to begin with. And I'm glad I'm getting through to you, bucky. I mean, you're the one who made a big deal out of being "addressed" with some sort of faux courtesy. So if that's all it took to get a rise out of you, then, hey, I'll go with it, Mr. Bojangles. (how'd you like that one, jack?) Oh, by the way, thanks for putting some effort into the spelling in your last post...Bucko.

Your benefits to mankind, quad, are countless while Olivia's benefits to all of us were also countless while performing Physical on Solid Gold in 1981 as seen here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow1gS3m1ckM.

A first for TFWG: using a URL as a clue. ;D

dmargalotti, the Linguistics Czar position is Ss's if he wants it but I don't think he does and I hope he doesn't. Regardless, it became available when raptus's absence exceeded 30 days. I just never advertised it.

Perhaps we could cut the junior high theatrics now?

Pictures of Olivia are always nice to look at as she was very cute and very hot when she was younger and she seems to have aged fairly gracefully although, when I saw her a few years ago guest-judging on American Idol, it seemed that she may have has some work done.

It was futile to mount a coup in an attempt to usurp leadership of this tiny little band, "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers," who gather here on this board on an alarmingly regular basis.

Thanks for catching my error there, quad. I gotta start paying attention and coming to rehearsals once in a while. ;D

Alarmingly regular basis would be my schedule here for mornings, late-nights and weekends while others are here much more often than that.

Good thing I'm not near a computer all day. I'd never get any work done. :D

Daily Show host Jon Stewart could probably do something very creative, mixing snippets of TFWG in-fighting with his CNBC and Rush Limbaugh send-ups.
