Fantastic word game

Beau Bridges was considered the talent up and comer of the second generation but then he was eclipsed by his kid brother Jeff.
 
Jeff is my co-worker who alerted me to a bit of sudden urgent business, thus causing me to rush and forget the one-sentence thing last week.
 
Last week, after the band camp mixologist heard the confessions of egregious violations of one band camp member, she recommended erasing them, in favor of using the slate for flower power and the sea of forgetfulness about them.


And as the band camp mixologist I know groovy when I see it.
 
Flower power and the sea of forgetfulness about them using drugs are part of the reason I never got into folk singers, and always just preferred to stick with my Olivia Newton-John.

Wait a minute, are you saying Band Camp Mixologist Silkie is the third "she" in this thread, or was the band camper confessing the "she"? ???
 
My Olivia Newton-John fixation must have clouded my mind over these past months because, in all honesty, and I hate to admit it (and I'll use the excuse that I never met this person in person), I thought that Silkie was a guy.


See, that's the problem with Band Camp being a separate entity from PowerWorld. I have no jurisdiction over that enterprise so I, the Game Czar, don't always get to meet those folks. Next thing you'll be telling me is that Divine Dave is a transvestite or something. :eek:

Silkie was a guy is what I thought too but I'd really like to know why this startling revelation was not disclosed earlier.

I'm sure there are those amongst you who will say that as Band Camp International Executive Director, it was my responsibility to inform the gang about the misconception regarding Silkie. Well I too was quite surprised to learn that he is a she because the hiring process did not require any face-to-face meetings or direct conversations. I'll need to go back and review Silkie's job application to see if the gender box was properly checked off or left completely blank.
 
Earlier, WMC thought Silkie was a guy, so he failed to turn on his charm, and now it may be too late to captivate her with your power of giving delight (through the written word, of course).

(Note I am taking a liberty here of choosing to place in bold the word before the parenthetical phrase. I hope no brains will explode as a result)

I, for one, knew that Silkie was a she, because the PowerWorld Linguistics Guild is privvy to all sorts of back-channel intel. [I would now typically insert an amusing emoticon, but they still seem to be on the fritz.]
