Fantastic word game

All teary-eyed and weepy is how I get when I realize I miss andreajesus alot and I figure if I mention her often enough, she'll keep coming back here.

I'm sneaky like that. ;)

She'll keep coming back here, but only if you click your heels three times, and keep on wishing.

(Travel tip: They still serve mystery meat on international flights)

Keep on wishing no more, Anyacat, 'cos I'm here... :)

"Here kitty, kitty, kitty...here kitty, kitty, kitty" said WMC's next door neighbor, Mrs. Gertrude Crumbspinner as she tried to gather up one of her 27 cats that had wandered onto the grounds of his sprawling country retreat.

His sprawling country estate was the perfect escape from the concert to get some good eats and have a picnic.

Have a picnic and listen to some relaxing summer music on the grounds of my palatial estate or hang out for some exciting Germany tips from The World Famous Anyacat's Travel Tips.

Aside from the mystery meat, Cat, I hope your trip went well. I also hope you provide daily (or nightly) commentary on your daily (or nightly) goings-on there in Germany for your Travel Tips. And please invite your brother to join us. I'm sure he'd love to meet us. ;D

The World Famous Anyacat's Travel Tips come in very handy for band camp field trips.

Recipe for whipped cream: Pour one half pint of very cold whipping cream into stainless steel mixing bowl. Add 1/8 tsp pure vanilla extract. If you want sugar use fructose, but very sparingly - say 1/2 tsp. With electric mixer on whip setting, whip the cream until it is thick. Please save recipe for banana cream pie.

Band camp field trips are few and far between after last summer's infamous incident when some of the boys sneaked out during the night and visited a local strip club.

So, apparently, we are starting Silkie's Tasty Tips? I don't recall receiving a memo from the Band Camp Executive Director but, hey, why not. You might as well since our BCED was supposed to be giving Band Camp tips on a regular basis but has failed in that mission. His mixologist comes through to bail out his butt. ;D

A local strip club was also where they made margaritas and tequila sunrises.

A proper Tequila Sunrise:

2 oz tequila, 4 oz orange juice and 1 oz of grenadine (careful not to mistake sloe gin for grenadine)

Pour tequila into a long tall cocktail glass (sometimes commonly called an 8 or 12 oz. highball glass)
Pour the orange juice on top and stir
Slowly and very carefully pour the grenadine into the glass, preferably with the glass slightly tilted so that the grenadine goes down alongside the glass to the bottom of the glass, from whence it will slowly rise in the drink.

And there you have a perfect tequila sunrise. If you'd like a thin slice of orange with a slight twist on the rim of the glass will look nice. Other variations may include simple syrup, which is sugar water.

Margaritas and tequila sunrises have gotten me into a lot of trouble.

(Lox is based on the German Lochs which means salmon. I had some grilled for lunch. Yummy. I have taught my German niece and nephew the words to Springtime for Hitler. I believe my work here is done.)

Trouble is what Cat's brother's neighborhood is in for if they decide to shoot off any fireworks this weekend.

Although it's probably not a holiday weekend over there.

This weekend has for most Americans lost the true meaning of the holiday because instead of taking time to reflect on the sacrifices of the brave men and women who died in defense of our freedoms, we are too busy thinking about backyard bar-b-ques, sales at the mall, and trips to the beach.

The beach sounds good and the entire PowerWorld executive staff needs to take a weekend beach roadtrip.

Quad, you can leave those TPS reports at home for this staff roadtrip. Hopefully, Cat will be back from overseas. Silkie, you can come with us even though you aren't on the executive staff. We need someone to cook for us. And we need chicks. :D

A weekend beach road trip down to Manzanita may likely be on my agenda within the coming month, assuming I manage to straighten out all the errors and omissions in my financial ledger.

Financial ledger aside, we all need a break and we all need to spend some quality time together especially with andreajesus. :-* :-* ;D

A little thing happening soon will be the first annual TFWG PowerWorld Executive Leaders Council Summer Retreat Weekend which is tentatively scheduled to be held the first weekend of August in Nags Head, North Carolina.

Please note this is an all expense paid trip for executive members only. Those who desire to bring along spouses, partners, significant others, children, and/or members of their own personal posse will have to pay out of pocket for their guests. WMC is in charge of securing proper lodging. I'd suggest you check with Anyacat to see if she can make some recommendations. Quad, I need you to head up the entertainment committee and by all means, please contact ONJ's people immediately to see if she's available. Silkie, you're in charge of food and beverages...please check to see if anyone has any special dietary restrictions. Raptus will head up the security committee and since we need an Audio/Video technician for the seminars, I suggest we invite Darth_vader, if that's OK with the rest of the Executive Board.

Nags Head, North Carolina sounds like a great place for the retreat, dm, but it sounds like you may be sending us down there right in the midst of hurricane/tornado season.

In which case, I hope Raptus and his security committee will arrange for evacuation dress rehearsal at PowerWorld offices before we leave and an evacuation seminar once we are there. I lived in southeastern NC for 2 years and went through 3 hurricanes so I know of what I speak. And I think quad lives in NC anyway so looks like he doesn't get to travel very far. Poor quad.
