Fantastic word game

Your Weight Watchers stats are obviously not a part of the evaluation process when applying for a spot a band camp which is why you see so many chunky campers around here, most of whom end up playing big, heavy instruments such as the tuba and bass drum that would otherwise be too hard for the skinny kids to manage.

To manage my time better, I need to start getting to bed earlier so that I can get up earlier and not oversleep which is what I did this morning and now I'm running incredibly late and I have to skedaddle.

I'm running incredibly late and I have to skedaddle in order to be first in line at the band camp mess hall or else WMC, Dmar, and Quad will lay waste to the steam trays and my breakfast fare will be limited to soggy, picked-over choices which almost always result in a debilitating case of band cramps.

A debilitating case of band cramps is sometimes to blame when you see a young camper curled up in the fetal position, crying in pain during the mid-day practice but at others times the same symptoms simply mean the little sprout is suffering from a good old-fashioned case of the homesick blues.

The subterranean kind of living is not for me!

For me, it is always a good thing when i see Quadrophonic's posts, because they are VERY funny...

Funny you should mention subterranean homesick blues situations, because maybe we can just go to the octopus' garden in the shade, as The Beatles once sang for us at band camp.

The Beatles once sang for us at band camp and that was pretty darn cool but what was even more amazing as I look back was that the opening act for The Beatles that day was a little known up and coming singer who later went on to become a huge international singer and movie star and if you haven't figured out whom I speaking of by this point you must be pretty slow on the uptake because as all of us who were there that day know I am talking about Miss Fabulous herself, the incomparable Olivia Newton-John.

Miss Fabulous herself, the incomparable Olivia Newton-John, also appeared for the last of summer band camp festivities and introduced Neil Diamond, who sang "September Morn" which, of course, brought us great happiness as an appearance by Neil Diamond always brings great joy.

An appearance by Neil Diamond always brings great joy and his spirit is alive and well at every Boston Red Sox home game as, during every 7th inning stretch, the home crowd always sings 'Sweet Caroline'.

The home crowd always sings 'Sweet Caroline' and manages to get the NY Yankees to win EVERY game...

Every game is a bit of a stretch, andrea, because I do believe my Red Sox have the upper hand this season thus far.

Even though the Sox got beaten up tonight, expect them to come back for the rest of the series and leave the Spankees in the dust. ;D

Thus far, I've never been to Fenway Park but even though I am a life-long Yankee fan, I think it would be a lot of fun to catch a game in what is baseballs' most historic park.

An outfielder's view of the game is what I remember from my two seasons of Babe Ruth League baseball because you always put the kid with least amount of baseball ability (me) in right field.

Right field means different things to different people, trust me on that...

That post about singing "Sweet Caroline" makes me think that they should just Karaoke a song during the 7th inning stretch at our local ballfield, instead of forcing "God Bless America" on us at the games, which they started off with the National Anthem, but they would probably just get blamed for changing it by the papers, and they would probably end up picking "The Macarena" or "Who Let The Dogs Out" too much for my taste as it is.

As it is one of the sing along songs done between innings at The Fresno Grizzles games, triple A for The San Francisco Giants, is W-M-C-A by The Village People.
