Fantastic word game

Any port in a storm is on the outlook for high winds and severe weather, and then to batten down the hatches.
 
Matey is an informal sobriquet peculiar to pirates, much like "good buddy" is/was an appellation made famous by CB radio.

Though from what I've read, truckers don't call each other "good buddy" anymore unless they're looking for a special kind of friendship with a happy ending.
 
CB radio lingo was featured in the #1 pop hit from 1975 Convoy by C.W. McCall.

Sad to admit...but I did actually own a 45 rpm copy of that song. But hey, I was 11 and had yet to discover Led Zeppelin.
 
Convoy by C.W. McCall is in my record collection as well, and its release caused me to beg and plead with my parents for a CB radio at Christmas.

When I look back at all the dumb things I've wanted in my life, I give myself many (figurative) slaps to the head.

Yard sales are a good way to get rid of all of your unwanted junk, like the old saying, one man's junk is another man's treasure.
