Fantastic word game

Every holiday party includes many delicious dishes prepared by our fellow PowerWorld employees and I can't wait to see who's cooked up what this year.

Wow, you people were busy posting today. It took finally getting the emoticons back to get you people off your butts. ;D

"Who's Cooked Up What This Year?" would be a perfect name of a holiday show on The Food Channel.

Enjoying myself is very good :)

Really Stuart? This is the guy you so admire? Really?

Perhaps I should review my "Hero" guidelines? :-[

The Food Channel would attract a much larger audience if they had a program featuring Silkie and her favorite band camp recipes.

Perhaps you haven't noticed...but Silkie has not recorded a TFWG post since 10:24pm Tuesday (10/27). That means she was a "no show" yesterday and as far as I know, she did not submit a written request for a day off or call in sick. People, people, people...your daily attendance is mandatory. If a situation arises that prevents you from posting on a given day (although for the life of me, I can't imagine what that would be), you MUST notify a member of TFWG's Executive Board right away. TFWG Department Heads, please keep an eye out for Silkie and have her report to my office as soon as she returns to band camp.

Silkie and her favorite band camp recipes are a must-have for any occasion.

As always, let's fiirst give Silkie the benefit of the doubt because it's always possible real life intervened (just as it did for quad a couple of months back and for Stuart for the first half of the year). But if she comes up with some lame excuse, it's Demerit City for her. I'm sending a couple of maintenance guys over to the library to make sure she isn't trapped under a pallet of construction material.

A must-have for any occasion around here is a smile.

A smile is always a good thing, ESPECIALLY when it comes from one of the good-looking guys that TFWG is known for.... ;)

Around 8pm tonight I will be settling in front of my TV to watch game 2 of the World Series and needless to say, after the Yankees loss last night, tonight I'm hoping for a different result.

"Lazy Sunday" is not the same as "Lazy Day", by Spanky & Our Gang, and it is not the same as "Sunday Will Never Be the Same", by the same artist.

I have been digging around through the library recipe books, which we have kept separated from some of the other books during library renovation. I will select a superb Flan recipe with which to treat you for your patience.

Putty in your hands is a lot better than crap on a shingle.

This is a family site so we need to use other words occasionally but I think we all know what I really mean. Now, if LVRJ was still posting over here, he would have said the actual uncensored phrase. ;D :D ;D

Crap on a shingle is what the band camp kids call the meatloaf on toast sandwiches often served for lunch and from what I hear, that term can really make Silkie mad.
