For a while last night, I thought the band camp mixer was going to be a bust but then the band started kickin', the house was a rockin', and the roof was on fire.
Burn or not to burn is the question for many bandcampers, PowerWorld U students, and PowerWorld townsfolk as they are currently deciding whether to hold a huge bonfire in the center of town this evening.
The center of town this evening will be alight with bombastic fireworks in honor of Marvelous Mike and his birthday.
(Grits Update: Had breakfast this AM in a local restaurant that specializes in southern cooking. I had shrimp and grits. Although it was a tad rich for 9:30 am, it was mighty delicious as was the excellent made-on-the-premises biscuit. The remainder will make a fabulous dinner. I assume that my previous grits experience was marred by the mediocre culinary skills of previous cooks.)
Good sir, please accept this TFWG Honorary Invitation for an free birthday meal at the PowerWorld Luncheonette.
Served, of course, by Margarite, everyone's favorite Luncheonette waitress. Just don't forget to tip her or you'll end up in the doghouse like Stuart did.
To gaze upon Olivia was his apparent desire until her lovin' man chased him when he got within several yards, as the serene Olivia stayed put in their favorite place and kept the home fires burning, waiting for her lovin' man to return from the big flap, while in the meantime a flashy little chick took up with another type of crowd entirely and hung out as though none would notice.
With it all and then some, I have somehow managed to slack on my duties here at TFWG while continuing to work my farm and for that I am very much ashamed.
Fun must be being had in many places today, because wherever the TFWG people are, there is fun, unless, of course, they are all congregated in one place, then there's probably just a lot of fun in that place.
