Fantastic word game

Barstow, CA, will not know what hit it.

(Now and again a twisted sense of humor is all that stands between you and rip roaring insanity.)

Barstow CA is the home of...dang if I'm sure of what it is, except the end of I40 because there is a sign for "Barstow, CA 2800+- miles" near the other end in Wilmington, NC.

If I am not mistaken, and I'm not, since I'm between Wilmington [the beach end of NC] and the birthplace of NASCAR [many sites involved in the foothills of western NC] and it would take a good day to drive from here to one to the other and back, but I guess you could say Wilmington is "very close" to the birthplace of NASCAR, depending on where you start with the comparisons [if you're in a foreign country, it probably would be "very close"] and how relative you want to make it.

Criminy, a demerit for me. The "last post" thing got me again up therrr. I got no notice about "someone posted while you were posting" or nothing.

Hit it hard but don't quit it if it's a good thing, because if you give up you'll never win, and like David McNaughton, you want to make it.

There. All tied up in a bow.

The Band Camp archives aren't yet big enough to require the services of Iron Mountain, so the overflow now sits comfortably in WMC's basement.

An Olivia Newton-John security breech-loading musket is on display in the Band Camp archives.

Well-played Anya...

My daily contribution to TFWG is somehow the highlight of an otherwise pathetic plumbing problem laden day.

(Instant Gratification Trivia: A polar bear's skin is black. Its fur is not white, but actually clear.)

Pathetic plumbing problem laden day after pathetic plumbing problem laden day turning into pathetic plumbing problem laden weeks, I once lost 45 pounds in a month, which I'd actually like to do again, just not the same way.

The same way you lost weight the first time should work the second time around.

(Instant gratification trivia: The average person will have 9 pets throughout their lifetime. I only have/had eight. We had Scampy I, a mongrel; Scampy II, a cocker spaniel/who knows what mix; Smokey, a persian cat who found us; Jason and Medea, Smokey's kittens who hot foot it out when we kept the kittens; Anya, the most wonderfully opinionated and smart persian cat ever; and now Wilz and Harry--but the adorable, lovable Harry, who was found as a teeny kitten alone in a cemetery, died at an early age--the evil Wilz persists.)

I learned a lesson harshly when I lost all that weight before, but it was all out of my control.

Guessing on the clue you meant there, travisl5678. You gotta bold what you want us to work off, man. But welcome. Have you had time to work on those preliminary TPS Reports?

Go to bed with the comforter over my head is where I will not go having just read that the Texas school board voted to rewrite American history to suit right wing demands.

(This is my second try. Hope it posts.)

Demands by the Board of Directors that newcomer travisl5678 follow the rules should not be unexpected and I will be very pleased to post the rules should our new friend travis make a return appearance.

Should our new friend travis make a return appearance we will welcome him with open arms; tall, cool drinks and maybe a splint infinitive.

A splint infinitive isn't a drink that I'm familiar with but I would imagine it is in the same family as a dangling participle.

I suppose one could use a splint to hold the infinitive together after it has been split.
