They were a couple of miles apart along US Route 6, but all of the five and dimes were barely a hop, skip and a jump apart in my New York shopping area, once we got off the train going over from Scotch Plains, on our Saturday mornings, when we went shopping for 45s at 3 for 69 cents and extremely valuable jewels from the 29 cent racks.

Yes, ladies and gents, if you weren't dating something that smelled like it came out of a cathouse, you were the one who smelled like you lived there. Don't know whether Borjois was affiliated with Guerlain, but hey, stink is stink.
 
On Mother's Day and other special occasions gifts of Evening In Paris were received with gratitude just before dumping down the toilet, throwing the bottle on the floor and lamenting the fact that the beautiful bottle of perfume was no more.
