Fantastic word game

My old cassette recorder bit the dust when I was in college, and the other day I had to help someone figure out why theirs wasn't recording [their tape already had the record/erase-protection tabs removed, probably in the 80s judging from the only old tape they could find to record on].

Record on to cassettes is definetly a thing of the past and come to think of it I don't think blank cassettes are available anymore.

I actually still have a working cassette player that I never use, any music I had on cassette has all been replaced with CD or MP3 files. Same goes for the VCR still have one that works, but don't use it since I have a DVD Recorder and a DVR.

I don't think blank cassettes are available anymore, but we recorded on only the best, said what we meant, meant what we said with a very personal touch, and then we played it and it went into a safe deposit box, ready to go with specific instructions under specific circumstances.

Ready to go with specific instructions under specific circumstances is the PowerWorld chain of succession that establishes and guarantees a smooth and orderly transition of power in the event that one or more members of the Executive Board are killed or incapacitated.

Incapacitated and unable to perform by Game Czar duties is the only time I will ever step down from my position.

Well, that and a hostile buyout/takeover but what's the chance of that happening?

Down from my position, just a few short blocks away, is the PowerWorld annual meeting, where the great minds are deciding whether we should cancel the rest of this miserable, stinking, oppressive, hot, humid, mold spore infested summer.

Summer is my favorite time of the year because that is when all the chicks, including the lovely library interns, show off their tans and tanlines.

And they often tell me that Miss Silkie taught them how to do that. Ya just never know what goes on behind closed library doors.

Their tans and tanlines begin just above their knees and extend to their ankles and feet, and then from their shoulders to their hands - and of course their pretty little faces, just the way the old broad taught 'em.

The next Band Camp Overbearing Parents Workshop and Seminar will be held in the Library, just like all the other ones, except when the Board acquiesced to some hare-brained idea [no offense to the hares], and invited Drs. Oz, Phil, and Laura in as guests, and registrations were so sparse the seminar was moved into Dr. Phil's car.

For carrying Oprah, tv stations were rewarded for a number of years with good daytime ratings but now those ratings and the Queen herself have fallen and she can't get up.

Let's hope and pray she doesn't hold yet another "I'm not retiring" press conference.

She can't get up in the ratings, and it would probably be frustrating if she weren't already richer than the president is comfortable with her being.

Seriously, though. How did she get back onto the "Most powerful people" lists, this year, of all years, when nobody's watching her show and she's lame ducking it into upper-tier cable? They should just give her a Nobel Peace Prize and a Pulitzer and be done with the farce.

A lot of people (myself included) did not know that Oprah's ratings were in the dumper.

I understand she's kind of become a parody of herself; I know Kathy Griffin does some great O impressions including the OPRAH YELLLLLLLLLLLING!!!!!!

In the dumper is where I heard her ratings are, but I don't follow it that closely, and they might be comparing her ratings today to her previous astronomical ratings, which would be hard for a station to beat consistently, unless they ran an Olivia Newton-John concert.

An Olivia Newton-John concert is always a joyous event that brings people together from all across the globe and unites us together for the greater good of all the world.
