Fantastic word game

Poultices may be good for healing some things but apparently the word itself is not good for moving things along here at TFWG because quads' use of that word yesterday seems to have brought things to a halt temporarily but now that it's a new day and I am posting a new sentence and a new clue, hopefully we can step up our productivity and ya'll can thank me later.

The internets' gatekeepers have apparently taken the weekend off and finally allowed us back onto the R-I boards and not a moment too soon because I was suffering from serious posting withdrawal.

Two nights ago, the screen via my direct link to these boards said the boards were down to 'unscheduled maintenance'. I could, however, get here via the main window of R-I but the system wouldn't let me post anything. Then, last night, my direct link got me right here but still wouldn't let me post. What a predicament.

There will be a mandatory meeting Monday morning at 7am with the entire IT department. Our International Director of Band Camp will be hosting that meeting. Thank you, Mr. International Director of Band Camp.

'Unscheduled maintenance' makes you wonder what would have happened had there been 'scheduled maintenance'.

Perhaps Darth can shed some light on this situation. Maybe it's all Darth's fault. Anyone seen him lately?

And, quad, just because I'm so happy we're back, I'll overlook the fact that your opening clue has nothing whatsoever to do with any previous clue. ;D

Happy Weekend everyone!

I was suffering from serious posting withdrawal when the boards were down, and found time to square up my Olivia Newton-John bootleg cd collection on its shelving, and save a kitten from a tree.

I don't see no mistake man. I been good lately. No mistakes, especially the last 24 hours or so. ;D

A tree currently grows at my folks' house, in the backyard space where my old swing set used to be.

[size=8pt]@WMC2006: My recent non-existance owes to the fact that I was finishing moving stuff from my old flat to the new one. To answer your query about your computer problems.....ummm........could have been fluctuations in the space/time continuum? That happens sometimes. Either that or you are trying to access the 'net' from Khitomer (I can attest to how problematic that can be is, worse than China, that........)

Must haves and should haves, like needs and desires, do not constitute demand without income and savings.

I did not have posting withdrawal. I posted and got the standard timed out message that I guess everyone else got as well. So I came back later and saw the big chief on the screen, but I figured it was cool - which is not to say that my statement with the word "cool" is a secret message to anyone at any of the hundreds of stations nationwide which call themselves "cool" or "kool"; just getting that cleared up for any teeny boppers who might happen to think that people who have made it to the big time and use the word "cool" are sending them a secret message that means you are getting a car to start up, or your very own drinking party.

Presidential or Congressional, it makes no difference right now, because we are all just wagging our heads in disgust all the way around.

Olivia Newton-John is not one to overplay everything she gets hold of as so many of us know how to do.

Many of us know how to do this thing we call TFWG but only the few, the brave, and the awesome stick around to keep rolling along.

And, hey, welcome to Page 1400.

Most weakling must sleep while the best hits play til dawn, including the great Olivia Newton-John, and all of the greatest music from the 70s and the 80s.

yes playing all of them, Hair Metal, New wave, Mainstream rock, and even some R&B, it's the weekend time to rock and have another beer.

All of the greatest music from the 70s and the 80s is what they should be playing every weekend at Illusions if they want to attract the right crowd as opposed to the riff raff that usually gathers there.

I kept trying to post yesterday morning...finally got one to work around mid day and then it kept doing a Houdini thing, appearing, disappearing, reappearing all day. In fact earlier this morning it wasn't there and it looked like quad had made up his own beginning clue which wmc alluded too. But now it's back and all seems right in the world of TFWG. Please be sure to take notes at Monday's IT meeting and since we lost a lot of time yesterday, productivity has obviously suffered. As a result, all TFWG regulars and part times will have to pull some extra duty this weekend to help get us back on track. See your shift supervisor or department head with any scheduling questions.

The riff raff that usually gathers there have strong opinions about Olivia Newton-John and whether Band Camp will erect a monument to Australian singers past their prime.

Prime rib is tasty with au jus, and complimented by a salad and baked potato just makes good sense for diet food.

So, the warning is that a new reply has been posted, which means I might have to come back to modify my post, but doggone if I can see a new post...except the one by our long missing friend, Anyacat, whom I welcomed back on ITG board.

A weekend without stifling heat, humidity and mold spores, and you ask everyone to pull double duty. This I gotta see, babies.
