I don't get to do that everyday but today is one of those days when I have the extreme pleasure of being poster numero uno.

Numero uno usually IS what you are while posting, Mr. IDBC, because our business day begins at 5am and you are also the Czar of Early Morning Contributions.


Except when stuff intervenes and either I, or quad, or Miss Silkie happen to come in before you.

The Czar of Early Morning Contributions often grows impatient while waiting for others to join the game.

Join the game early and often as you can, which is also the slogan for early voting in a lot of places.

Early voting in a lot of places occurs mostly where there is a greater concentration of senior citizens and you can tell if you're in one of those places when you see large groups of people heading to the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet at 3pm.

The all-you-can-eat dinner buffet at 3pm might be a bit of a rip-off considering how many geezers eat like birds, unless the the AYCE dinner buffet offers take out boxes for people who just didn't realize they couldn't eat the whole meal.

The challenge for all of you for tomorrow will be to make two to three pages worth of contributions because, based on today's work, it looks like many of you made very little effort.

"Murphy Brown" is a show that former Vice President Dan Quayle probably doesn't watch of lot of in syndication.

Syndication has worn out a lot of shows, like "The Office," which was already dying on the vine.

The vine has grapes just ripe for picking so we are hoping Miss Silkie will be able to concoct a few bottles of her homemade wine before our annual Halloween bash.

Our annual Halloween bash will feature a jug of hard cider that is sitting out on the front porch, and I am hoping that those rascally kids don't come by and abscond with it.

"Don't come by and abscond with it" reads the sign above the hard cider, which will be served in our finest Royal Doulton china with the periwinkle pattern.

The periwinkle pattern is very attractive and exclusive to Miss Silkie but I've seen fraudulent patterns being used at some of those other black market band camp locations.

Some of those other black market band camp locations are in questionable areas of town where I wouldn't venture, even if there was police presence.

I would advise keeping the Royal Doulton with the Hand-Painted Periwinkles out of Elizabeth's hands, especially if the phone rings! ;o)

Police presence has never been called for to this point, but our Hyacinth has dialed two nines on her white Slimline telephone with automatic redial facility, and she's itching to hit the final 9.
