Fantastic word game

Dead Flowers were the subject matter of a song by The Rolling Stones as well as New Riders of The Purple Sage back in the day.

Good morning, good morning to you.

Day of travelling for me as I soon head to the airport and head south for a few days of rest, relaxation, fun in the sun, and hopefully lots of eye candy.

Days of rest, relaxation, fun in the sun, and hopefully lots of eye candy are usually obtained in Manzanita, Pendleton, and sometimes (albeit not as often) in other off-the-road parts of the Oregon high desert.

[size=8pt]The "eye candy", of course, being the 60+ megabytes of radiofax weather charts obtained in Manzanita via KVM70. Way clearer than the staticky, distorted charts I get off the same station/frequency here. Of course KVM70's based in Honolulu, and the Oregon coast is much closer to Hawai'i than the southwestern Washington Cascades are.

Desert places are sometimes not necessarily recognizable as deserts, because there are so many "oases" of fine dining, dancing and desserts.

Hawaii is closer, eh? Who knew?

Diner's Giude is a publication that tells you which desert to go to for dessert.

Well, when you are on the coast, you are about 100 miles closer to Hawai'i than you are if you were in the Portland area. And you've the ocean and its saltwater conductivity to help the radio signal along, rather than relying on the ionosphe alone. I tried listening to (viewing?) KVM70 on 6000-some kHz (I forget what the frequency is specifically) in Pendleton those couple years ago before hitting Manzanita and it was practically non-existant there.

Five tons of girth would make it hard to fit inside the DJ booth.

In honor of MarcB's return to the FWG, I declare we skip the E's this go-round.
Don't worry E fans, there will be plenty more chances on the way to 10,000 pages.

Fit inside the DJ booth is how Jack LaLanne prefers to keep his company with the fellow known as "W.B."

Yes, welcome back, MarcB. You know where to put the bottled water. ;D

Fellow known as "W.B." is how DToTheJ began his latest contribution to TFWG on a day dedicated to the letter F but since I had no idea as to what he was referring I decided to move along without making a fuss.

Forgot the past, which meant that we did not do the letter "E", and that means that Marc was not up on the alphabet that we have been doing each day.

Fool in the rain was standing on a corner, waiting for his lady friend to arrive, but it turns out he had made a mistake in his flopsweat-drenched DayPlanner.

It's from the rarely-heard fourth verse of the song.

Fool that he was, MarcB felt he could just saunter in and do anything he wanted to do without paying any attention to our current alphabet game but I think quad should have made a better decision than to forge ahead because Marc's visits here are few and far between.

Beautiful day here in Daytona Beach. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. I need to move here.

Dammit, quad beat me, I hate when that happens:

Flopsweat-drenched Dayplanner in hand, quad made an unannounced trip to Illusions to let MarcB know that he won't soon again let Marc off the hook so easily for not paying attention just because his visits are few and far between.

Few and far between are WMC's visits to the sun drenched beaches of Florida and I'm sure after last year's fiasco, there are some very relieved folks in Fort Lauderdale.

From all those 80s spring break films I got the idea to make a trip myself to South Florida and enjoy the sun, beaches and fun filled nights at the clubs.

Fun filled nights at the clubs are a part of becoming the people we shall be, and that includes being foolhardy in one's youth.
