Fantastic word game

A day during the summer months our dear friend, Anyacat, described a situation and circumstance that occurred more than once, which the librarian chronicled, as the library is a place where we keep information about helping the fragile and elderly who can be victimized by one bad day, or a week, and even the antics of power companies are recorded and archived.

It's why PowerWorld pays me the big bucks.

Anyacat said:
Until the fireflies have finished decorating band camp, I'll be in the other room with air conditioning and chocolate chip cookies.

(WMC: No electricity from Friday at 4:30 pm until Monday until 6:01 pm. I am just now beginning to feel human.)

Comings and Goings sounds like the name of a blog that Anyacat might have published on a daily basis.

I was just doing some online research, looking for Anyacat's obituary. Haven't found that yet but I did find an online newsletter from her 50th class reunion. She had been planning to attend the reunion but illness prevented that and she died the day after Thanksgiving. The reunion was just three weeks earlier. Still looking for the obituary.

By the way, according to Anyacat's R-I profile, she was last active on the site on July 31st. I hadn't realized that we hadn't seen her for THAT long of a period of time. I'm considering posting a separate blurb here on the Off The Air board about her death. She had nearly 4500 posts. I'm sure they weren't all from TFWG (although I'd like to think they were ;D ) so I'm sure there are others out there who might like to know she has passed away. Thoughts on making that post?

On a daily basis it seems I have to drive *somewhere*, doing *something*, although it seems the jury's still out on whether or not it's for the benefit of society and the universe as a whole.

[size=8pt]I'd say go for it. There are probably other users on this server who don't necessarily make it around to the FWG often (if at all) who probably have run into anyacat and might be concerned about her non-existance throughout the recent past, and may not know to look here.

Incidentally, in one of the admittedly very, very few times I have found myself going over to Facebook, I put in the URL suffix "/anyacat" (server automatically corrected it to "/AnyaCat") and received an error message saying that particular file wasn't available. Is her file registered under a different suffix (and I just dialled the wrong number) or did she have it flagged as a private file?

For the benefit of society and the universe as a whole, Darth, please stay away from Facebook if you don't know what you are doing. :D

Ummm, Darth, Anyacat's Facebook profile is listed under her real name. You may find this hard to believe but Anyacat was NOT her real name. Neither Anya nor Cat are part of her real name. Nice try though, Darth. ::)

If you don't know what you are doing, then you probably shouldn't have started in the first place.

"Have started in the first place" is how kenrayc expects the next post to begin but since I cannot think of anything coherent to post using that clue I will just continue on with the usual daily references to band camp and Olivia Newton-John.

The usual daily references to band camp and Olivia Newton-John here on TFWG are becoming quite hackneyed.

Coming back for more and more references to band camp and Olivia Newton-John, most people seem content just to lurk at the FWG, so there must still be some people out there interested in things like beauty, truth, and goodness.

Watch football and do little else, and you will have a pretty serious spare tire around the middle, although it is quite nice to be able to just spend a day doing nothing but vegging out on the tube, no matter what is on.

Doing nothing but vegging out on the tube, no matter what is on is really only something I do when I am sick and otherwise too weak to do anything productive, for when I am well and have the day off from work (and assuming the weather's half-way decent) I am either running deliveries or exploring the farthest reaches of rural Clark County on my Mongoose mountain bike.

[size=8pt]And according to the forecast for to-morrow PM, it looks like the weather might actually be somewhat stable for once. Vancouver Mall has been calling to me for some weeks now. I think all the easy listening music I have been consuming recently must be what's doing it. (That's a nice 10 mile ride north, and almost all the way up-hill yet.....)

Edit add: I stopped at the Cash & Carry on the way home from work a short while ago, and just now opened a can of Orangina in Anyacat's honour. Cheers.
