The early years of TFWG, that is to say the formative years, did not feature a band camp where children could come by Grandma Silkie's and Grandpa Sweetie Pie's igloo, which we cleaned up after gifts were opened and the place was trashed to smithereens with wrapping paper, bows, tissue paper and gift tags.

Fantastic word game

Wrapping paper, bows, tissue paper and gift tags are tools to keep a man down, short-term answers so to speak, so this year as I usually do, I wrapped all my gifts in newspaper and duct tape.
I'd be happy to accept it, but I don't think they'll ask me to be president of the U.S.A., so I'll just continue doing the meaningful work here at the FWG, such as collecting TPS Reports and distributing Olivia Newton-John's fan mail replies.
Olivia Newton-John's fan mail replies might be delayed tomorrow as we are expecting a major blizzard here in the northeast.
Starting today, through tonight, into tomorrow. Saw a forecast last night that said my central MA area could get up to 2 feet. But at least we know how to drive in snow unlike you folks down there in NC, quad, who also got snow this weekend. ;D

A major blizzard here in the northeast corner of my neighborhood hasn't happened, because as with all things that happen in the south, everyone's been quite pleasant, so it's been rather sedate and orderly.
I took the family out in the snow. It's about six inches probably here, which is a major snowfall for us. The roads were passable, the weather was nice, the snow was soft, and the snow cream tastes pretty good, and the power's still on, so all is well. We did see one car overturned in a parking lot, looked like it had been there for hours. There's no logic to how it ended up where it is at, but I guess they'll work it out. Nothing was open except for Walmart, restaurants, and a couple of convenience stores, but then again, it was 9:30 on a Sunday morning. We could have had church, but oh well.

Orderly meetings, followed by television broadcasts, have been held by our Governor and the Mayor of Boston who have declared states of emergency starting later this afternoon, asking that everyone stay home if you don't need to be out and to stay off the roads so the snowplowers can do their jobs.
The snowplowers can do their jobs as long as there is enough salt and sand in the trucks and enough coffee in their bellies.
Bellies full of Chinese food seem to be quite popular this Christmas.
This Christmas may not have been a white one but for a lot of people up and down the east coast, the day after is sure looking that way.

John Phillip Sousa would be proud of everything that goes on at band camp, but he might blush a bit at the mention of the submarine races.
The submarine races are few and far between in this cold weather but we expect the action to pick up sometime this spring with the return of warmer weather.
The illusion of warmth is always present in the FWG Biosphere.
