Fantastic word game

Perseverance and dedication are two things that have gotten us to where we are and they are the same two things that will get us to where we want to go.

Boldly gone before would be what I'm listening to right now, a repeat of Casey Kasem's AT 40 of the 80s from January 16, 1982, and the number one song is "Physical" by The lovely Olivia Newton-John.

Here we are at the start of another week so let me begin by saying we've received a memo from corporate expressing concern over our productivity thus far in 2011 and while we are less than a month into the new year, our numbers are already beginning to lag behind those from this time last year.

Last year, we had a larger group of core contributors but, since then, we've lost andreajesus, raptus, and the late lovely Anyacat.

Although andrea recently poked her head in once or twice.

We've lost andreajesus, raptus, and the late lovely Anyacat and I've told that to corporate but instead of taking that as a reasonable explanation, they are insisting that each of the remaining core members increase their own individual productivity by at least 10 percent daily while a new recruitment campaign to attract additional members is launched.

While a new recruitment campaign to attract additional members is launched, don't forget there are complementary hors d'oeuvres in the break room, designed as part of the benefits package.

The benefits package should probably include letting new contributors find their way by observing instead of laying out 7,654 lines of requirements.

7654 lines of requirements is necessary when a newbie comes in and immediately breaks every rule in the book because they can't follow simple rules via observation.

Simple rules via observation were laid out on page 1 and arbitrarily and capriciously changed at about page 1000 or somewheres waaaaaaay past page 1.

It changed my life forever when I joined this game because after that point I had no time for anything else.

I've been with this thing since Page 1, the entire 4 years and 1600+ pages. Not sure, though, when exactly I became Game Czar. Maybe kenny can look that up too. ;D

By the way, I just checked raptus's profile here on R-I. He hasn't been active since October 22nd. There is no email address listed. Let's hope and pray he is ok and real life intervened for awhile. Perhaps, as has happened in the past, he was suspended from R-I again and he got fed up and left. Whereas I knew Anyacat's real name and could look her up, I don't know raptus's real name. I do recall emailing back and forth with raptus some time ago when he got suspended but don't recall the email addy. :(

I had no time for anything else, especially while I sat alone listening to my Olivia Newton-John albums on the hi-fi.

I saw The_Dude has also been gone since August last night. Where are all the people going?

On the hi-fi is where I play my old vinyl records but I have to remember to wear headphones especially when blasting out the greatest hits of Olivia Newton-John or else my wife will yell at me to "turn that noise down".

I think she's just jealous...

Turn that noise down or we'll turn this car around and go right back home.

Actually, The Dude (not The_Dude...I clicked on his name on the first page of TFWG) was last active in October, not August. No great loss, all ever did was complain about how everything today is so much worse than 20 years ago (candy, cars, you name it). I'm more concerned about raptus. Anyone know or remember his real first name??
