Fantastic word game

When you consider that gold is a toxic substance, it's good that we have Darth around because he has all kinds of non-toxic substances hanging around his lair.

And my "YES" vote makes it official and a clean sweep. Congrats Darth, welcome to TFWG's Board of Directors. At some point over the next week, we'll make an appointment for you to pop over to the PowerWorld offices to meet the Board of Governors. Please dress appropriately. Meanwhile, quad will get your Board of Directors paperwork and meeting schedule to you, please fill out and return in a time appropriate manner.

And, so, our NEW TFWG Board of Directors:

Game Czar: WMC2006
Director of TPS Reports and Other Operational Stuff: quadraphonic
International Director of Band Camp and Director of Early Morning Contributions: dmargalotti
Chief Mixologist, Head Librarian, Director of Fun, and Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits: Silkie
Director of Information Technology: Darth_Vader
Retired Title: Director of Energy, Tourism, Travel and Topless Driving: The Late Great Lovely Anyacat
Vacant and unfilled Title: Director of Linguistics (vacated by raptusregalitur)

Hanging around his lair, Darth_vader's not nearly as likely to be huffing toxic substances as he is to be using them for cleaning stuff off.

[size=8pt]I mean, it's a well-known fact that the common solvent 1,4-dimethylformaldehyde (a.k.a. "acetone") removes spilt dried-out epoxy glue from your Mum's formica countertop far better than standard 99% dimethylcarbinol you get at the drug store (a.k.a. "rubbing alcohol")!

Wow, I have credentials now! Cool.

Now let's see.....guess I'll have to run down to the laundry. Apparently I forgot to wash up my *good* ripped jeans (you know, the ones that just have the frayed-out hems, as opposed to those that also have the ripped-out knees, which as some of you can attest to, I use for my day-to-day work) when I last wore them. Even c0mputer g33x0rz/h4x0rz have to look halfway decent when they're being sworn in. Just please don't expect me to wear a suit. Can't stand suits.

For cleaning stuff off, you need to know a little bit about the stuff and a little bit about the surface in question, because it's easy to get into cleaning stuff overkill.

Cleaning stuff overkill especially if someone mixes the wrong chemicals together can be dangerous to your health.

At my last job 2 years ago, in a print shop, there was very little ventilation and the chemicals to clean the press were very strong, the Type4 wash combined with the blanket wash were toxic, It's like call Cal OSHA health hazard!!!, the place closed down in 2009 for financial reasons, now I'm in a better place.

When I was working at Sizzler in the 80s somebody had a great idea to mix Draino and bleach together, we had to evaculate the back half of the restaurant.

Dangerous to your health would be booing at an Olivia Newton-John concert because her fans tend to lean toward the fanatical side and they wouldn't think twice about protecting her honor by pouncing on a hater.

To make society better, we always start our day with a TFWG LoveFest beginning with dmargalotti's Early Morning Contribution.

Beginning with dmargalotti's Early Morning Contribution, the evolution of TFWG continues as contributing members from all around the country add their own unique and entertaining posts, many of which contain inside jokes about things such as band camp, Olivia Newton-John, Illusions Dance Club, and topless driving.

Inside jokes about things such as band camp, Olivia Newton-John, Illusions Dance Club, and topless driving, for the most part can't be attributed to me, as I mainly limit my inside jokes to those involving Muzak, computers and old telephone equipment.

[size=8pt]@kenrayc--

One genius at the Red Robin property I worked at once had the bright idea to mix quaternary ammonia sanitiser concentrate (much, much stronger than the ammonia cleaner you'd get at Safeway) and bleach, thinking it'd be great to use for disinfecting the meat slicer. Well, after they had to shut the place down and evacuate the staff and customers, the resulting concentration of nitrogen trichloride turned out to be of an amount significant enough that the Hazmat people had to come out and dispose of the stuff. (NCl3 is really, really highly reactive, explosive stuff--think of it like nitroglycerine with a far nastier attitude!)

After the hysteria died down, I quit the restaurant industry altogether. I'd rather get killed in a car wreck during a bad courier run than whilst flipping hamburgers because some idiot doesn't know how to handle chemicals! They lost two employees that day.

Muzak, computers and old telephone equipment aren't things we usually work into the course of conversation but we can always try doing that because people like kudzooter (when he bothers to show up) don't like talking about or reading about the same stuff everyday.

Sometime soon, someone new will come across an Olivia Newton-John video on youtube and just have to watch it over and over, much like the lurkers and looky-loos who really want to play in the FWG pool, and check in 100s of times a day, but are just too shy to try.

Too shy to try doesn't describe it; more like I enjoy the insiders' enjoyment of the inside jokes from my outsider position, but simply don't feel compelled to throw in a comment for no germane reason.

No germane reason only applies in legal courts, my friend, not when people decide to have their court cases heard here, in OUR FORUM, because all you got to be germane to is the bolded last word or phrase!

And there's ALWAYS a good reason: because it's the FWG! :)

The themes are what keep us going day after day be they the same old ones or new ones submitted by newbies, lurkers, parttimers, old friends, or regulars.

Newbies, lurkers, parttimers, old friends, or regulars are all welcome as long as you know your place and don't jump the gun by beating me to the first post of the day which is generally my responsibility unless it's Sunday and then anyone can jump in because I'm not usually near my computer on Sunday mornings.

Newbies, lurkers, parttimers, old friends, or regulars are all welcome to post on this most fantabulous of internet threads.

Lookie there! dmargalotti stepped in for his constitutional.

On Sunday mornings on the roads in most towns, there is little traffic.
