Fantastic word game

Quality entertainment in the Portland area can be had for free depending on where you look, and on a typical day such offerings include hippie wars, drunken brawls, gunfights in the streets, whiney talentless hacks passing themselves off as "musicians" and thinking they're the toast of the world, perverted mayors trying to cover their butts, political sessions that go no-where fast, amongst various other highly amusing spectator sports that'll surely make you glad you're a Vancouverite.

[size=8pt]And the drivers, oi. Sometimes I go down there and I swear I've been to demolition derbies with safer drivers! Why go to to the East Coast, I could just go across the bridge and be in it within about five minutes!

With snow or back bacon you're sure to get a puzzled look from many, because aside from the trivial amount of snow we get at least once a year early on (if that), most of us Vancouverites either don't use terms like "back bacon" or have never heard them, with the possible exception of the few that actually came from Canada.

Wrong Vancouver, quad. Sorry. If you talk like that on this side of the border, most people will either (A) think you're a foreigner or (B) think you're from Portland (but that's redundant--see A.) Most of the time you'll just get a blank stare--if you ask for "back bacon and pineapple" at Round Table, you probably won't get what you're expecting!

And as predicted, dmargalotti beat me to it.

A long weekend in Canada via this Vancouver, usually entails first making a long drive, not counting the four hours spent waiting in the queue at B.C. Customs.

The four hours spent waiting in the queue at B.C. Customs makes people wonder why they even left the other Vancouver.

Yeah I knew it was our Vancouver. The ubiquitous back bacon and snow up there are reasons why you're glad you'd be glad you're from our Vancouver. As much as I heartily respect their Vancouver, back bacon and snow are not really drawing cards, and are actually highly amusing topics to draw from when you want to make fun of Canucks, because it's in all their literature, art, music, and heritage and whatnot.

Chinese water torture may be have been preferred by members of the shocking blue lizard brigade, as the executive board stared out the window at a brigade member, who was visibly shocked by being caught in a menacing stance, turned rather pale, then frantically hunted and pecked, looking for an easy, less obvious exit.

Can I please ask who is planning on volunteering some time at band camp over the July 4th holiday weekend?

I'm sure you all are and I know, for sure, that Darth will be since he is our newest Board member and he is required to as part of his contract.

Over the July 4th holiday weekend at band camp, Darth_vader should be all right, because the campers are pretty tame, as there will be much civic responsibility and patriotism exemplified.

Patriotism exemplified somehow manages to make the place look like the Revolutionary War zone, while the little stinkers place the blame squarely at the doorstep of the British.

After all, if not for the British we would not have the mess, now, would we?

Place the blame squarely on the doorstep of the British if you want, but I will put it at the flapstep of the teepees of the original Native Americans, just because nobody blames the ones back then for anything ever.

nobody blames the ones back then for anything ever is not entirely accurate, because even Publius knew what was right and did it.

Pubilus knew what was right and did it if you insist, of course I wouldn't know about that myself, as I rarely could keep myself awake during my history classes.

[size=8pt]@WMC2006--
Actually I'll not only be out of town that whole weekend, I'll be out of state, at my longtime friend's place somewhere on the Umatilla indian reservation. Since the fire danger this year is predicted to be significantly lower than it was a couple years ago (it's because of the warm winter and the horribly rainy spring we've had) the explosives (I'm told) will be even bigger and louder than 2009!

I'll be covering the action from there via remote. Later on Bruce and Robin will be singing the National Anthem. (Solo, neither of them are really anything to get excited about. As a duo, they even give the Mormon Tabernacle Choir some serious competition.) This will all be starting at 2300 PDT and running well into the early morning hours of the 5th! And it'll all be LIVE on KFWG-LD Channel 37, the Eye of Observation!

An older Montgomery Burns might even be volunteering over the holiday band camp session while Darth will be absent from his new mandatory duties which may result in a 3 day suspension, according to the PowerWorld Board of Governors.

According to the PowerWorld Board of Governors, enrollment at all of our band camp locations was up 10 percent from last however because of increased operating costs, mostly from the price of heating oil, our net profits actually declined by 3 percent which means we will have a special emergency board meeting next month to consider cost saving measures, tuition hikes, or both.

A Valley Girl would talk in a very annoying manner while interjecting phrases such as "like", "oh my gosh", "totally", "gag me with a spoon" and "as if" all while smacking her Bubblicious chewing gum.
