Fantastic word game

If severe weather threatens your area, be sure to tune to your local radio or TV station for the latest alerts and bulletins assuming of course that your local radio or TV station actually has somebody on staff who knows how to monitor and report on such developments.

Developments in the weather system can occur within moments as many residents of western and central Massachusetts know all too well.

Holders of the keys to the function hall need to make sure it is open by 7am Saturday morning so that the July 4th weekend band camp committee members can get in to set up for the weekend.

Some extra hands, which will be provided by interns will be needed for crowd control in addition to other duties because early estimates show we have a pretty good chance this weekend of breaking our previous attendance records.

Attendance records for our July 4th weekend Summer Smash have been increasing on a yearly basis and this year's predicted numbers, based on reservations and walk-in inquiries, are through the roof.

All hands, including Darth's, are expected to be on deck for some portion of the 3 day weekend. Please contact me, Miss Silkie, or quadraphonic to let us know what portion(s) of what day(s) you will be present.

The roof of my Mum's house will be getting new plywood and shingles put on it this August.

[size=8pt]WMC--

You already know what/where post I'll be working this weekend. I stated it in the memo I left on your desk at the University when I replaced your computer cable a couple weeks ago! I'll be co-ordinating the remote broadcast for KFWG/WFG710 of the Band Camp summit here on the 4th, as well as the Band Camp Motocross Tournament in the Blue Mountains on the third. (Otherwise, refer to this post and this post.)

The Kimpton brothers (Bruce and Robin, both of WGZOO fame/infamy) will be here, too. They'll be arriving on Saturday.

This August I will be spending 3 days in San Francisco and I will be going to a Giants baseball game.

In Yomiuri people do not try to imply they are "the family" by any stretch of the imagination, not even by injection on their luckiest day.

A PowerWorld function of their choosing usually requires careful supervision and a very keen mind lest the young thangs try the latest twist on their usual shenanigans.

The latest twist on their usual shenanigans has not yet been revealed as Divine Dave and Kenny C are still planning their next Illusions extravaganza.

Quad, you should probably check the archives with one of those fine-toothed combs just to make sure you did or did not have a Japanese ending contribution at some point. ;)

Their next Illusions extravaganza includes the annual fireworks display on the 4th of July, which lesser band camps can only dream of having.

I for one, was so thrilled I forgot to capitalize the sentence start.

Lesser band camps can only dream of having the best of everything that we have including facilities, personnel, attendance, and location location location.

Division street in eastern Portland, years ago, used to have a hot dog stand from which came the best wieners in the entire area, until they were shut down by the cult-of-personality Oregon health department, and they relocated to Grand Boulevard in Vancouver's lower west side.

[size=8pt]So now WE have the greatest wieners in the entire area! Portland really shot themselves in the foot that day, but their loss is, of course, our gain. Incidentally if you're in the area, it's called the Chicago Steamer, and it's in the more permanent storefront on the corner of Grand and Evergreen Boulevards. Up the hill from Columbia Machine, and across the street but one from the Bimbo/Orowheat shoppe.

Very, very bad for you, yet I could easily down half-a-dozen of them with cheese and bacon bits if I had to!

Grand Boulevard in Vancouver's lower west side is apparently the best place to get a great wiener if you are in Darths' neck of the woods but if you're going to be on the east coast this weekend, you may want to check out the annual Nathan's 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest.
