Fantastic word game

The annual Nathan's 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest has made former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner this year's Grand Marshal.

A cute and perky Kristy McNichol, no matter the excuse - medical or otherwise - still behaved badly and is, to borrow from Ms. Flagg, subject to the rules of a Towanda takeover.

What Towanda is, rather than who, is the correct question, as Towanda is not a who, but an alter ego righter of wrongs in the quiet, intellectual, business savvy, k.m.a. version of the scene from Fried Green Tomatoes at The Whistle Stop Cafe.

Also a movie entitled simply Fried Green Tomatoes. Cattiness and gossip are simply not Miss Silkie's forte.

The nostalgic and nostalgic-curious are sure to show up in droves at Dave & Kenny's Hula Hoop and Rockem Sockem Robot 70s Night at Illusions.

The Dj's at Illusions used to play boring music, but now that Dave and I rock the weekends the crowd is amazed and don't know what hit them.

This holiday weekend we are going to blow the roof off illusions with music worth listening to, now the same want to be country and hip hop.

The crowd is amazed and don't know what hit them which means it's a great time to hit them up for a donation to our band camp scholarship fund for underprivileged but musically gifted children.

Homecoming weekend is a big deal around here, especially for the near octogenarians who are all decked out in their beautiful, shimmering white graduation robes, after checking and double checking their handpicked adornments for approval, because they came from a generation that never went out not looking like a million bucks.

A generation that never went out not looking like a million bucks certainly won't be the epithet for the "Millennials" (can't believe I just used that word) since due to the current state of the economy, you'd be hard-presed these days to find a million bucks to look like.

[size=8pt]Now *my* generation ("Generation Y") on the other hand........

Finally the first bit of unfiltered sunlight I've seen in almost three days! It was thunder-storming, ~75 degrees and 90% humidity last night at 2330. Cloud-to-cloud lightning seen from miles away, past the prairie and the Blue Mountains, is really quite surreal compared to my side of the Cascades!

It's supposed to be in the 90s to-day, but at least they got the air conditioner in the other room fixed. I'm not moving back, tho. Why would I want to forsake a single king bed (at slightly less per night, yet) for a double queen? ;o)
