Fantastic word game

Without TFWG, my life would be empty as well and I know it would also be empty for all of the Radio-Info owners, editors, moderators and techies because, without us they'd have nothing to do and we keep them on the map.

Someday, our friends at R-I are gonna make a thread of their favorite and funniest contributions from The Fantastic Word Game and, no doubt, this one will be included. :D :D :D :D :D

At the top of the "Off The Air" page, you will find us, proud and mighty, welcoming competing threads and beating off the competition.

Like, ya know, trivia games and such.

Our opportunity to give glory to those Who made us what we are is a special ON-J concert dedicated to those very people.

How's everyone's weather? Just some light rain here in Central Mass. Supposed to be worse on Sunday. Quad, hows things in NC? I know the coast is getting pounded.

Those very people who report live from the beach as the hurricane approaches probably aren't paid well enough to take the chances they do but I'm sure most of them have no say in the matter so they just do what some lame, fat-cat executive told them to do.

Some lame, fat-cat executive told them to do it is the only reason I can think why Red Cross volunteers are flying from Silicon Valley, California to New York.

So I have a question which will obviously lead to a second, third and fourth, in the following order:
1. Are there no Red Cross people in New York?
2. Where are these mensas going to land?
3. Do the words "common sense" mean anything to them?
4. Are they trading carbon credits for the jet fuel to fly to a place where they cannot land and then to circle around forever back to California? ;D

Red Cross volunteers are flying from Silicon Valley, California to New York where the airports in NYC are closed so they may have to land elsewhere and hoof it to the big city.

A grand scale of social experimentations and rejiggering from time to time seems to be happening more and more the last 20 years, and the more it happens, the more people seem to be shocked and even angered that some people are not evacuating at the drop of a hat.

A hat is something I would have been more likely to wear when I was in high school and my hair was almost Army-short, but now that I've grown up a bit and let my hair do the same, hats don't seem to get as much use as they did previously.

[size=8pt]Although I always use a helmet when I set butt on the bike, and since my helmet is stock from when I was still doing motocross, it has a bill over the front like a hat. Keeps the sun out of my eyes as I'm navigating the Mongoose down I-5. But that is sort of an awkward analogy as I used to compulsively wear my hats *backwards*. Doing that with my V2 Pilot can be a bit awkward in itself.

Besides, sporting the Vans logo with a mullet? Unless it's on my shirt or my shoes, I don't think so....

Storm wind and rain is picking up around here but the good news is that Irene has been downgraded to a tropical storm so hopefully the resulting problems won't be as bad.

Fairly windy and gusty in central Mass and lots of rain but not too overly bad. Hopefully, it'll stay "not as bad" as it moves through.

As bad as things seem we do not worry, because the library and lounge are intact, and our generators are being put to good use to prepare a wonderful brunch for our guests who may feel free to arrive as they are, in their jammies with their teddy bears.

Also, the Olivia Newton-John interview will be available all day as a storm special.

Their teddy bears are usually a source of great comfort during stressful times and we've also found that a great way to keep the kids calm is to make a tent with blankets in the living room for all to hide out in.

Make a tent with blankets in the living room for all to hide out in, but make sure that you aren't playing hide and seek, because it doesn't feel good when nobody seeks you.

Nobody seeks you when you are hiding in the living room tents, and kiddie hideouts are a great diversion to give us a chance to get the stuff that belongs outside back outside, assuming that it will not blow away.

The hits at Illusions are not outrageously out of the way for next weekend, as long as this weekend's weather situation and circumstance do not lend to hardship with extra people being in the way.

The way into town was blocked by a few downed trees but those have been take care of and everything seems to be as rosy as it always is.
