Fantastic word game

Back in high school, apparently dmargalotti's gym classes included a fair amount of pogo.

One of ours used to call everybody "Buddy Roe." Years later, in a town 100 miles away, I saw a truck like his (he got a new one he was proud of during his first year of teaching) parked most days in a parking lot with a vanity plate that said "BUD-E-ROE" and I looked whenever I passed, but I never saw anyone near it at the same time. I thought about leaving a note, in case it was him, but I never did get to it before that truck stopped showing up there...alas.

Pogo was an old comic strip that was distributed by Hall Communications, which owns Connecticut oldies station KOOL 101.

(Yes, it's a stretch, but it's true! Google it...)

Connecticut oldies station KOOL 101, in addition to being a cool station, also enjoys listenership and disc washers several hundred miles away.

My house and its surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful this time of year, but alas, the sun has gone to bed until tomorrow.

Until tomorrow morning when I get up to get ready for work, I'll be relaxing with my good pals from TFWG or, if you prefer, the FWG.

TFWG or, if you prefer, the FWG is getting very close to 2000 pages, so let the countdown begin!

-crainbebo

Let the countdown begin for crainbebo but for the rest of us it began a couple of weeks ago which our friend crain would know if he showed up more often.

If he showed up more often, crainbebo could contribute more posts, but I guess he's busy dxing, which I might have to go get the SuperRadio tuned up for, because I haven't seen any Globe Trekker on the PBS station lately, and besides, what's the point of watching tv if there's no Megan McCormick on it?

Olivia Newton-John movies and musicals are a good way to spend the weekend even if I watch them over and over and over again.

The Great Pumpkin will almost surely appear as a ghost if Linus gets the first glimpse and tries to capture it with his blankie.

His blankie gave him a sense of safety and comfort, especially during times of trouble or stress such as when he went trick-or-treating with his friends and heard his pal Charlie Brown exclaim, "I got a rock"!

I got a rock to put into each of your trick or treat bags if this less-than-one-page per day thing keeps up for much longer.
