Fantastic word game

Frequent and welcomed guests to band camp have included famous musicians, professional athletes, and award-winning actors but we have yet to be visited by a sitting U.S. president.

A sitting U.S. president has stopped by band camp and stared a few times over the decades, but never said so, probably figuring that eventually the material from the board would run dry and be recycled by some unoriginal loser fungus.

Some unoriginal loser fungus occasionally makes it into Dave & Kenny's Friday Night 80s RockFest at Illusions but they are quickly chased out when they make derogatory comments about bandcamp.

Derogatory comments about bandcamp will not be acceptable anywhere, especially here at The FWG (or if you prefer, TFWG).

Nobody's been thrown out of Illusions yet, tonight, but it is still early.

Several more stories will help us reach our goal of 10,000 pages.

Notice andrea stopped showing up? We'll see her again in 6 months or so. ::)

A senator having that goal can be aided by a well-equipped and well-regulated computer centre, but it looks like we won't be moving in there for a couple more weeks.

[size=8pt]Well, The terminals were delivered on Wednesday afternooon, but the order for the desks that should have at least arrived a couple weeks ago, and thus be set up already, didn't actually get to the central supply department until yesterday. Even though I filed the requisition papers at Powerworld, in person, clear back in December. Meanwhile, it looks like we'll be stuck using the folding tables that are currently set up in LH12. Apart from this setback the construction's pretty much finished, so I think we can safely move the equipment back into 130/141 and get 129 wired in. It'll probably be a little awkward, but maybe with any luck we actually could get it all open by Monday.

(WMC, maybe you could look into why or how this little paperwork mess-up happened. Seems to me like there's a requisition clerk who needs to have...well, you know the drill.)

A couple more weeks will bring us to spring training which means we can watch baseball games streaming on Darth's newfangled computers.

As I tried to post, I got the famous red letter warning that someone (Darth) posted already. However, Darth somehow missed quad's clue so, being in a quandary, I've decided to use a form of the rarely-seen TheDude Rule and go with what I had already written. So please use 'the up and up' as the next beginning clue. Thanks very much. And, Darth, I'll look into the missing requisition form.

Never mind, seems Darth corrected everything once I posted. Boy this gets confusing sometimes. ::)

Darth's newfangled computers are still sitting in the shipping boxes, awaiting connection to the mainframe and VAXes, once we get them moved back into 141.

Watch videos of Megan McCormick all you want but don't ignore Olivia because if she gets insulted at being ignored and stops coming to band camp, the blame will rest squarely on your shoulders.

Reneging on her understood invitation and acceptance would keep her out of the Musician of the Band Camp Year nominations, but not out of the FWG (or TFWG as some prefer) folklore.

Where is errybody?

Reneging on her understood invitation and acceptance isn't an issue, for if this year's shindig is anything like last year's, she'll feel inclined to do an encore performance on the Fifth.

[size=8pt]Well, all the equipment is back in 141 and the new terminals in 129/130 are unpacked and installed. Now comes wiring them into the routers. Stringing CAT5 cable around the ceilings is actually a very good way to kill an otherwise unproductive three-day weekend. At least there won't be anybody else at the University to-morrow, so we won't have to worry about service interruptions.

Whadja find out about the paperwork screw-up at the requisition office, WMC?

Darth seems to have come down with quad-itis where he can't see the most recent contribution and then doesn't check to see afterwards. So, I'll do my best to move us forward.

The FWG (or TFWG as some prefer) folklore states that she'll feel inclined to do an encore performance on the Fifth of certain pages of our history as long as all contributors pay attention to their contributions and keep things in order.

Please continue with 'keep things in order'.

Keep things in order as meticulously as we do in the computer centre if you desire for your task to be accomplished quickly and efficiently.

[size=8pt]I was always told the standard practise was that one couldn't follow up their own follow-ups. So under that my above post should have been considered valid since it was following up a previous follow-up that quad self-followed-up. Or maybe that practise was relaxed and I just hadn't been made aware of it?

Nice follow-up though, WMC! I like how you did that. ;o)

Quickly and efficiently, we got that requisition order filled for Darth so he can move on with his construction just as we need to move on with our game.

Darth, that requisition order seems to have been lost in the netherlands. But I went ahead and recreated it and pushed it through. Everything and anything you need is available to you in our building, your building, or whereever you need it. And, following up to your own followup is certainly allowed although it's rare. It usually occurs when no one has been around and nothing has been contributed for a number of hours so you can do what you need to do to move things along.
