Fantastic word game

Unless you were dj'ing you would not have chosen Illusions for the kind of reverse bachelorette party that all the boyfriends will be having in the band camp lounge for one more whirl with the party girl for gifts and prizes.

We all know what that last edit thingy looks like, right. It's what they meant to say while trying frantically to undo.

Gifts and prizes are generally given to contestants on game shows who fail to win the big prize and I believe it was on The Price is Right that someone said, "tell them what they've won, Johnny".

Johnny Olsen was the first announcer on Bob Barker's The Price Is Right until he passed away and was succeeded over the years by Rod Roddy, Rich Fields, and George Gray.

Rod Roddy, Rich Fields, and George Gray must have thick skins, because every day there are TPIR fanboys posting on the internet sites various minutiae about all of their perceived shortcomings, rarely praising them.

Rarely praising them for their ability to ride the Illusions mechanical bull, the egotistical midget gave it a shot.

E.E. Cummings or early k.d. lang would probably be well received in some venues but probably not ones that have mechanical bulls and patrons who look like cast extras from the movie, Urban Cowboy.

The movie, Urban Cowboy, could have been filmed at Illusions because of the high rate of posers, but I think the cast of the actual movie was much more photogenic and a lot more healthy.

A lot more healthy snacks are need to help fight the childhood obesity epidemic in this country and I know for our kids here at band camp, Miss Silkie is working on that.

Record time for me and Kenny usually comes midway through our DJ set when we put down the mp3 players and pick up our vinyl record albums or as we affectionately call them, stacks of wax.

Stacks of wax don't get much play these days but they sure do at Illusions where I hear Kenny & Dave tomorrow night will have a guest dj in the booth.

My sources tell me that Miss Silkie will be around spinning food related tunes. But I could be wrong. ;D

A guest dj in the booth at a Kenny and Dave @Illusions Rockfest usually gets to pick their own music, but Kenny and Dave always reserve the first right of musical refusal, in order to maintain the integrity and flow of the evening.

All the 80s music, watered down drinks, and mechanical bull riding, this place was shakin' like that song by Eddie Money.
