All around my area there is dead grass and other shriveled up shrubbery caused by an excessively hot summer, coupled with the fact there hasn't been much rain falling.

There hasn't been much rain falling this year making it one of the driest rainfall seasons in a while with only 50 percent rainfall for a normal year.

With only 50 percent rainfall for a normal year, the prices of corn, gas, and other things related to food and food production and distribution will only increase.

Increase our productivity on a daily basis and we will get to that elusive goal that much quicker.

Philanthropy, humor, or economic growth are not subjects we normally discuss here on a daily basis but maybe we should consider doing that if it will bring in more contributors.

An hour's worth of rain will do some good in some areas as long as it doesn't create flash flooding and damage.

Spot flooding was very light today as we had some remaining moisture from Hurricane Fabio.

Water to enter your basement wasn't a factor this morning as we received some light rain today from the remains of Hurricane Fabio.

Hurricane Fabio is not the Model Fabio, who once got stuck on a rollercoaster.

On a rollercoaster, he also was struck in the face, as I recall, by some kind of bird leaving him all bloodied and feathered.

Bloodied and feathered has an advantage if you're near an open fire hydrant.

Fire hydrant inspection for all our band camp locations is scheduled for next Monday.
