Fantastic word game

That's pretty much how we roll when I bump this thread to the top, and continue our year-long topic about the wonderful Megan McCormick, Olivia Newton-John, and FWG Band Camp.

The wonderful Megan McCormick, Olivia Newton-John, and FWG Band Camp have been a topic here for as long as I can remember, but sometimes I think my rememberer might be on the fritz.
 
A loose confederation of like-minded equals had to rush to the dentist's office after the Illusions mechanical bull went nuts.
 
Nuts are available in the company cafeteria but are kept seperated from other foods in deference to anyone who may have nut allergies.

I like the cashews myself!
 
That good music from the 70's and 80's that Kenny likes to play during our Saturday night shindig at Illusions may not be heard this weekend if Kenny doesn't get his act together.
 
Poland Spring Bottled Water (or PSBW as some prefer) is on sale this week at Shop Rite but I don't usually go there because at their NJ stores you need to have a quarter with you to get a shopping cart.

Does Shop Rite do this in other states too or just NJ? The carts have a locking mechanism that keeps the cart chained to the other carts. The quarter releases the lock (but keeps your quarter) so you can use the cart and then when you return it and lock it up again with the other carts, you get your quarter back. None of the other supermarkets by me do this.
 
A whole month almost went by without one post to wgzoo, but thanks to a couple individuals on the network, we were able to prevent that from happening.

I've never heard of anybody doing that. Must just be a NJ thing; sounds like a rip-off to me. (Surprised it's even legal....) If I were there, I'd keep a pack of slugs or Chuck E. Cheese tokens handy for just that purpose--Abbie'd be proud.
 
We were able to prevent that from happening after we were able to get Olivia and Megan to come to band camp and have a chat with the little kiddoes.
 
The little kiddoes enjoyed their meat, but alas and alack, there was no pudding to be had.


The only chain that does the quarter-for-a-cart thing around here is Aldi. They're about the smallest-size grocery stores left. Some things they have for cheap deals, most is slightly cheaper than the average grocery store, but it's all Aldi store brand stuff. I think they're big in Germany too. The cheap deals mean there's usually a lot of people shoehorned in there, but usually I just run in for a few things with the kids after school, so we all carry some of what we get in our hands, or whatever boxes we can find.
Here, they're only open I think 9 or 10am until 7pm, and you have to bag or box your own groceries to get them into your car, like at Sam's Club. They only have four checkouts, and there's never been more than two open any time I've been in there the last 8-10 years. There's never been more than 3 people working at a time either, probably that contributes to the few-checkouts-open thing.
The quarter-for-a-cart thing seems to keep their parking lot much clearer than anywhere else's, but probably only being open nine or ten hours a day (during daylight hours almost always) also helps. Actually lots of times, people coming out will let you take a cart when you're going in, rather than walk back to the cart corral for a quarter. So if you don't see someone to share with when you come out, then you can make a quarter bonus in the process. I actually like that quarter-for-a-cart thing, the few times we have needed to use a cart.

No pudding to be had that was cheap last time I stopped by Albertsons, because they usually are very expensive on all their items.

If you are on the West Coast, and like cheap deals, I stop by Grocery Outlet sometimes. They usually have the overstock or close to expired stuff, brought from all over. I've seen Granny Goose Potato Chips [I like those] from Ohio, Co-Op [Canada] crackers, IGA cereal, Lucerne Yogurt, Piggly Wiggly brand soup, and even Chase & Sanborn Coffee. Closest one to me is in Renton.

All their items fit in the bags when they walked out of the store, but soon after they got them out for the walk to the house, all the items seemed to expand in size and burst out of the bags.
 
Bags brought home from shopping after they are emptied usually end up with a cat or two in them.

A soon as I empty them my cats has to immediately occupies them, and Rainbow prefers paper, Tiger likes plastic.
 
With a cat or two in them, undoubtedly, the Chinese buffets in Wolcott, CT are things and places you want to avoid, but the same can't be said for every restaurant out there.
