Fantastic word game

Far, far more than that could definitely be expected but I'm still experiencing login issues too so we'll have to get over that hump before we do anything else.

Before we do anything else we've got to get Darth and his crack staff of IT professionals to figure out why I was unable to log in this morning and why the system kept telling me I was entering an incorrect password even though I wasn't.

In other news I'm pleased to report that our band camp locations along the Gulf of Mexico are fully prepared to deal with whatever Issac throws at them.

Mention Olivia Newton-John and Megan McCormick, for obvious reasons, and you could win a free hurricane survival kit courtesy of RadioDiscussions.com and TFWG (or The FWG, as some prefer).

RadioDiscussions.com and TFWG (or The FWG, as some prefer) are fun to participate in; and now that the bugs seem to be worked out, I'm a happy camper!

The radio in my car had some man telling me more and more about some useless information,
supposed to fire my imagination but I can't get no, oh no, no, no...no satisfaction.

No satisfaction for those along the path of Hurricane Isaac until the storm passes through and everyone is safe once again.

dmargalotti, thanks for hunkering down with the various band camp staffs down there. We'll get you out of there later in the week once we know the extent of the cleanup. Although you may have to stay for that too. PowerWorld (PW, as some prefer) thanks you for your dedication.

Once again I must say that our staff has done a terrific job in preparing for the storm and I personally want to thank Miss Silkie for all the tasty treats she's provided because the staff, students, and volunteers are really going to enjoy them while we ride out the storm.

Unitron, we appreciate your participation very much. Normally, I'd have to overrule and reject your contribution because you didn't follow the golden rule and that is to use the entire bolded ending clue from the previous contributor and that clue was "there's blue skies". However, as Game Czar, since it was close, I'm going to make the executive decision to accept it in the hope that you will stick around and follow the rules. For the future, please use the entire bolded ending clue and please bold it as your new beginning clue. Please feel free to peruse all 2,376 pages of our game to get a handle on it if you wish. You may CAPITALIZE if bolding is an issue. Also, please use one, and one only, complete sentence. To honor our late friend, Anyacat, a contribution in the form of a haiku is acceptable although I'm not sure if yours qualifies as a haiku or not. Thanks very much. I'm also taking the liberty of creating a new ending clue since you didn't choose one yourself ;D

I see a new contributor by the name of unitron who we hope will stay with us for some time to come.

The PowerWorld Industries empire welcomes everyone to say hello to the new guy.

Hello unitron. I apologize for quadraphonic neglecting to say hello and to welcome you. I'm very ashamed of that. He knows better.

Say hello to the new guy and hope he'll make some awesome contributions to our fun little game!

I'm fairly new here myself and made a couple mistakes in the beginning, but I think I've gotten better since then (of course, that depends on who you ask. ;) ) Anyway, welcome Unitron! 8)

Our fun little game seems to have rules I didn't notice in the first several pages of this thread before I wimped out and jumped ahead to the end.

(If tivocommunity.com doesn't already have a TFWG going on, may I steal the idea? Strictly for sadistic purposes, of course. ;) )

Ahead to the end is how we hope to remain, and may I say how happy I am that Internet Explorer was finally able to open FWG (or TFWG as some prefer), so that I could finally make a post, and I do not neglect to remind you all that I bolded my intro and outro.

To remind you all that I bolded my intro and outro, I emailed each and every one of you and also had it sent to your desks in triplicate.

unitron, we've evolved since TFWG (the FWG, as some prefer) began in December 2006 and thousands of pages ago. There is only one The Fantastic Word Game. Other threads of the same type have tried to emulate us and faiiled miserably. My personal preference is that you do not try to do that elsewhere. I'd much rather that they join us here because we need more contributors. Of course, I'm not about to track you down and sit on you to stop you from doing it either. ;D That's Darth_Vader's job. ;D If you do try it elsewhere, please call it something else.

For your benefit, unitron, TFWG is a division of PowerWorld Industries LLC which is governed by a Board of Directors who, in turn, report to a Board of Governors. PowerWorld was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of Radio-Info.com but now wholly owned by RadioDiscussions.com.

Your Board of Directors:
WMC (me): Game Czar
dmargalotti: International Director of Band Camp; Director of Early Morning Contributions
quadraphonic: Director of TPS Reports
Miss Silkie: Head Librarian; Chief Mixologist; Director of Fun; Manager and Owner of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits
Darth_Vader: Director of Internet Technology; Chief of the Northwest Quadrant

You already know to use one sentence and one sentence only, preferably a well constructed sentence. A contribution in haiku form is acceptable. Please bold your ending and beginning clues. Please use the full bolded ending clue from the previous contribution as your beginning clue. All dialogue outside of the contributions should be italicized or you may use another smaller font to differentiate it from the contribution. If need be, please access the archives and reread all 2300+ pages. Take everything with a grain of salt and have fun. And tell your friends to join us.

Triplicate usually means our journal entries, which are kept where they can be found and accessed by only an itty bitty, teeny tiny handful of people.

Hm...some pages still don't want to open, but we shall manage.

Only an itty bitty, teeny tiny handful of people can manage to do what we've done and we plan on doing it for years to come.

That thud you heard was the folks at Radio Discussions falling to the floor. :D
