Fantastic word game

Once the truth is revealed, a lot of people should probably be fired, but a lot of people like us at the FWG (or TFWG as some prefer), Olivia Newton-John, and Megan McCormick shall remain unscathed because of our moral turpitude.

Turpentine smells pretty bad and so does my posting ability lately as the system hasn't been allowing me to post anything and many of these last dozen contributions have not been showing up.

What the heck is going on? ???

Darth, Scanman, and Kenny will follow after we stop having trouble (well, me anyway) logging in and trying to post, only to find out later the contribution somehow disappeared. ???

That's what happened yesterday and last night. I'd log in, post, verify the post was actually part of the thread, and then later, after checking in again, find somehow my post had disappeared! Don't know what's happening here.

To keep our numbers down, Radio-Discussions would have to be totally offline although what's been happening lately has helped and, you are correct dmargalotti, Yeziknoradio might very well be behind this caper.

Same here, scanman, posted and post disappeared. Geez, I go on vacation and the whole ship nearly goes down. Why isn't quadraphonic on top of this situation?

Yeziknoradio might very well be behind this caper, but he probably isn't, because most of what he posts are just random observations having to do with nothing, not really with coding the boards or wiping out all the posts since yesterday afternoon and making them reappear and disappear over and over.

Over the hurdles now, R-D seems to be performing ok but we'll have quad and also Darth and the boys keep an eye on things for the next 12-24 hours.

quad, if there are any issues during the overnight hours, let dmargalotti know. He's up anyway, since he hasn't gotten back to his regular routine since power came back. ;)

While we welcome and encourage our friend, jfrancis, to contribute, he has not followed the one-sentence rule which I think he also violated the one or two other times he has been here. I'll be activating a variation of TheDude Rule and using his full bolded final sentence as the new clue. Jfrancis, please review any or all of the most recent 500 pages or so to figure out our game, then come back and join us. :)

Someone must know how to fix this and they apparently did while we weren't looking.

We weren't looking to miss our contribution for the day, and we finally made it, thank goodness.

Tonight, we are happy to report that the boards seem to be back on track but we'll know for sure once we get the definitive A-OK from Darth and the boys.

The definitive A-OK from Darth and the boys will have to be in regard to something else, for although these posts do pass through our network at some point or other, the recent RD server fart actually had nothing at all to do with our equipment.

[size=8pt]Although apparently more than a few people were inconvenienced by it, since I did get more than a few angry-sounding messages in my inbound UUCP mail queue on guvax this morning, all basically asking me "okay, what did you do now?"

I mean, really?

The recent RD server fart actually had nothing at all to do with our equipment but we'd still ike you to take a look at it, Darth, and report back to us and the good folks at Radio-Discussions as soon as possible.

As soon as possible, to many people, can essentially (and rightfully) mean right this instant.

[size=8pt]We can't look into it any farther than that. The Computer Centre, wgnet and power-world-03 had nothing to do withit. The RD folks allege they were doing "maintenence" on their equipment, whatever that entails, and something apparently got screwed up in the process. It happens. Completely out of our hands.

That's my report.
