Fantastic word game

Senseless crimes don't happen here at TFWG (the FWG as a few miscreants prefer) except for misspellings, typos, bad grammar, bad sentence structure, and riding the mechanical bull while drunk at Illusions.

Misspellings, typos, bad grammar, bad sentence structure and riding the mechanical bull while drunk at Illusions are all problems that Joe Flacco would rather have right now.

Right now, I'm relaxing at home and wondering what all of my TFWG (the FWG as some mysteriously prefer) friends and co-workers are doing at this point in time.

Web surfing can go in many different directions but they all lead back to this site and the one and only The Fantastic Word Game or TFWG as I prefer.

TFWG as I prefer has received a visit from someone who apparently doesn't know how to play the game and, instead, artificially inflated our numbers.

Someone track down Robert Bass and flog him.

I'm so sorry guys... I thought I was playing the game with the last post that had been made in the thread. As it turns out, I played it with an older post. Please forgive me and carry on without what I've said. :)

our numbers will now accumulate accordingly following my unfortunate mistake.

Unfortunate mistake aside, you could have edited/modified your post but instead you did it again by apologizing and then using another post for your contribution when you could have done both in one post.

Know what I mean? Don't apologize in one and then play in another. Just do both in one. You can modify/edit for a period of time. Meanwhile, nice to know you understand how to play. But feel free to read through all 2500+ pages and welcome to the game.

Both in one post and in separate posts mistakes are made here, and sometimes it's operator error, and sometimes it's the system.

Sometimes my browser pulls a fakey and doesn't show "last post" right too Robert Bass. It's one of the lovable foibles we've all come to appreciate, since one day we'll all be dead and gone (hopefully not on the same day), and all we'll remember are the good times (BTW RIP Anyacat). And welcome, welcome, welcome Robert Bass! :D

The system fails us on occasion but that's why we have the Radio Discussion techs and engineers and also Darth and his boys to fix it up.

"Fix it up with a belt!" advised the passerby to the sagger, whose pants were halfway down his hips, inviting all sorts of mischief, especially being as they were in prison.

Mischief, especially being as they were in prison is pretty much to be expected initially, but to get their lives on track, they need to make a commitment to get back on the straight and narrow.

Today, it was very cold, rainy, and icy and there were numerous accidents throughout central Massachusetts all of which caused my normal hour or so commute to work to stretch to close to two hours.

Close to two hours of bumper-to-bumper can be a real pain in the neck! Luckly for me I don't have to commute, since I get to work from home.

Work from home and you also get to learn the rules of TFWG.

Ok, Mr. Robert Bass, here are the few rules of our game:

-Use ONE SENTENCE and ONE SENTENCE ONLY. Not two sentences, not part of a sentence but one sentence, preferably well written and well constructed.
-Please begin your sentence (contribution) with the full bolded clue from the previous poster and please bold your new ending clue. If you are unable to bold, you may use CAPITAL LETTERS. In remembrance of our late friend Anyacat, you may also submit your contribution in the form of a haiku.
-Occasionally, there arises a situation (such as yours) when we enforce TheDude Rule whereby the poster follows no rules and leaves no discernible clue so we end up choosing a whole new clue. I chose your bolded clue as it stood even though you used two sentences.
-Dialogue within your post but not part of the contribution should be italicized.

The Staff here at TFWG:

WMC2006: Game Czar (that's me)
dmargalotti: International Director of Band Camp; Director of Early Morning Contribution
quadraphonic: Director of TPS Reports
Silkie (also known as Miss Silkie): Head Librarian; Chief Mixologist; Director of Fun; Manager of Miss Silkie's Tasty Tidbits
Darth_Vader: Director of Internet Technology

TFWG is a subsidiary of PowerWorld LLC which, in turn, is owned and operated by RadioDiscussions.com and previously Radio-Info.com.

Play by the rules, take everything with a grain of salt, and have fun. ;D

The rules of TFWG (or the FWG as some prefer) are here to protect the flow of the thread, and also so none of us go off on long, rambling tangents and soliloquies, unless they can be accomplished in one sentence, such as by adding various punctuations and connecting phrases, without overdoing it.
