Fantastic word game

His local tv station asked quad to do a public access show about preparing TPS Reports but I think quad turned them down.

quad isn't really into the whole tv reporter/infotainer/anchorman thing. He prefers the behind the scenes thing.
 
I think quad turned them down but that's only after the contract negotiations broke down because the producers and the TV execs were not willing to spend the money to have Megan McCormick as his co-host.
 
Co-host duties would have been aptly handled by Megan McCormick, and they were planning a "PM Magazine"-style format, but mostly we would have just ended up sitting and talking for the whole show.
 
Engaging in some lively chitchat is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think about being with Megan McCormick or Olivia Newton-John but I'm sure they are both quite adept at the art of conversation.
 
The art of conversation rarely has anything to do with art, except when we are talking about art in the library.
 
When we are talking about art in the library, Art looks up from the book he is reading and thinks we're talking about him and we have a hard time convincing him we are not gossiping.
 
We are not gossiping about scanman or LARadioRewind but isn't it funny how their contributions have nothing to do with the current "storyline" at the moment and, instead, are unique in their own little world.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Kenny does the same thing. Of course, Kenny can't post about anything but music anyway. :D
 
"In their own little world" is an apt description of those of us who discovered this word game only recently and do not have time to read all seven million posts in an attempt to determine the storyline.
 
To determine the storyline, you only have to read the last post.

Sure, you can go back through the past historic archives and come up with some kind of cultural awareness of the FWG (or TFWG as some prefer), but you can learn just as much just jumping in and going along with the flow. In time, all will be revealed. And whatnot.
 
The last post generally conjures up an instant random thought in my head so I go with that rather than try to follow a "storyline" and spend an excessive amount of time working on a contribution.
 
A contribution does not necessarily have to follow the storyline set forth in previous contributions and contributors are encouraged to post whatever comes to mind unless of course our wonderful Game Czar would like to add another rule or two.

Of course WMC can only propose new rules. It's takes a general meeting of the entire executive board and a majority vote before any new rules can be enacted and recorded into our charter.
 
Another rule or two isn't really needed at this time unless we all feel the need to change things up for 2013 in which case we can talk about it late next week at the next executive board meeting.

Aw come on, LaRadio, you really don't want to peruse all 2,515 or so pages of internet excellence?? Just make a point (maybe a new year resolution) to read a couple pages a day. You'll be done in....well....eventually. Scanman did it, just ask him. He loved it!
 
2013 pages was a milestone we set a while back, and if you can find a storyline between even here and there, then you're a mighty literary conjurer.

It's only supposed to follow the last post. That's what allows for creativity. If we went by a particular storyline on every post, then we'd have beaten some horses dead by now.
Of course, it's always good to fit PowerWorld, Olivia Newton-John, or Megan McCormick when you can, because they all like seeing our thread on Lexis-Nexis searches and 'trending' notices we send them.
 
A mighty literary conjurer, Humpty Dumpty, told Alice (in Through The Looking Glass) that a word means whatever he chooses it to mean, so in a similar manner I can make a storyline go in whatever direction I choose it to go.
 
"Tornado!", I shouted as I started to run down to the basement, but then I glanced out the window and saw that it was only Mister scanman operating a fershlugginer leaf-blower.
